Scripture for the week By JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of June 29, 2014

jobeth12 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusts in Him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
Psalm 34:8,10 (NKJV)Have you ever longed for the taste of something like the first sip of coffee in the morning, your favorite piece of pie or maybe the best decadent chocolate as it melts in your mouth? There is nothing quite like that first taste that is so satisfying, that causes us to savor or cherish the moment and is often accompanied by the feelings of comfort and happiness. This verse seems to encourage us that we don’t have to struggle and fret because we can’t understand the whole Bible or to grasp all the ways of God. If we will just begin to taste a little at a time of His love, goodness, mercy and grace we will want keep to seeking for more and more of Him as we see the blessings of His comfort, peace and joy in every aspect of our lives. O taste and see that the Lord is good!

Excerpt from “So Loved” by Conny Hubbard

So LovedRecently I have been able to see a long time dream of mine fulfilled. For many years I collected precious words from the Lord that came during deep and intimate times in His presence. His encouraging and healing words became my main source of comfort that I re-read often. I had all these in a ring binder in page protectors but dreamed of putting them in an actual book. With the help of a wonderful publisher and copy editor my dream became a reality and my book, called SO LOVED is now available on Amazon.com and Barnesandnobles.com, as well as many other online book sites. See the link below. I want to share an excerpt from the book with you today. I can say that you will feel God’s heart beat through this book because they are His words, simply received by a broken vessel in need of much healing and comfort.

Only Believe Yes, My Love, I am speaking to you. Do you doubt it? Listen to your heart. Quiet your heart before Me and listen for that still, small voice calling out to you.  Yes, My Love, I long for a deeper relationship with you. Did I not say “Remember Me,” when I gave the Last Supper? Yes, remember Me often. Bring your wandering mind back to Me that it may bow down and be submissive. I am not a harsh taskmaster but the gentle gardener of your heart. Let Me into the garden of your heart. Let Me cultivate and care for your heart. Let Me plow up the furrows and plant My seed in the rich soil. I will build, I will sow, I will plant, and I will reap.

Only be available. Cease from your own labor and enter into My rest. Listen for the songs I sing to you. Look for the tokens of My love. I will revive your heart. I will renew and strengthen you. I will bless and guide you. Only be willing to walk humbly with Me and let Me do the work. I have made you a fruitful garden, My Love. …..Be blessed today with the awareness of the great love God has for you!!!

Scripture for the week By JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of June 22, 2014

JB09When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. Proverbs 16:7,9 (NKJV)

Have you ever known someone, or maybe you are someone, who tries to plan for everything and feels like everything must have a plan? Oh, how frustrating when all our well laid plans fall apart! At some time or another we all need to be reminded of the truth of this scripture that we can plan all we want, but it is The Lord that directs our steps. I am sure each of us could tell stories of sorrows with hidden blessings, of hopes lost with joys found or disasters that have lead to the surprise of wonders or miracles. It is well and good to make plans to our hearts desire, yet, still yielding as The Lord directs our steps. After all, we also have this promise that when our steps please The Lord, He is even able to make our enemies be at peace with us. Yes, Lord!

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem

Spring flowerOh Abba – I come today and declare and decree Your Word over Israel and Jerusalem – I pray for the Shalom of Jerusalem and I stand with Israel and understand Your decree for all of those who have turned against you..

Please LORD – open the eyes of all of those who have voted against Israel today – those who consider themselves to be Christians and are not.

Abba – Awaken them so that they may indeed partake of the Rich Root of the Olive Tree Jesus – do whatever is necessary– and make them understand that there will be no peace for those who stand against Israel will not have peace.

We all have a choice people – and we are to LOVE what GOD Himself LOVE’s and hate what GOD Himself hates..

We don’t get a vote – Church is not democratic and you must choose to align with what He says – not what your deceived committee wants you to align with.

Psalm 122:6-8 The Voice (VOICE) 6 Ask heaven to grant peace to Jerusalem: “May those who love you prosper.   7 O Jerusalem, may His peace fill this entire city!   May this citadel be quiet and at ease!”
8 It’s because of people—my family, friends, and acquaintances— that I say, “May peace permeate you.”

In Jesus Name I ask heaven to grant peace to Jerusalem.

Constraint by the Spirit by Conny H.

P1020888Recently, on my trip to Germany I saw a great sermon illustration. I, along with my sister, her son and daughter and a friend of mine, sat on a park bench at the harbor in the city of Konstanz. We had walked in the city, gotten something to eat and took our time enjoying the day coming to a close in a beautiful place. As I took in the sights and sounds – piano music playing nearby, people strolling by, sailboats rocking gently in the evening breeze, I looked up and saw a tree, close to the bench where we sat. What a curious sight! Each branch had a stake tied to it which forced them to grow out vertically. There were other trees lining the promenade with their branches reaching out sideways. These trees were older and it was obvious that they had adopted that particular shape because of the constraints that were on them previously.
I also saw a dove sitting in that tree. Immediately, I sensed the Holy Spirit showing me this lesson. Just as the tree was being constrained, if we accept the work of the Spirit in our lives, we are being constrained by Him who determines our direction and our growth. He is the designer. He lovingly shapes and molds us according to His design and image.
A picture is truly worth more than many words. Just look at it and listen. Are you accepting the constraints God has put in your life? Trust Him for the outcome, for He is surely in your midst, working our His perfect plan.

Scripture of the Week by JoBeth Kested

By JoBeth Kested

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV)

Have you ever felt exhausted from carrying the heavy weight of discouragements, problems and fears with a longing to rest your weary soul? Sometimes there just doesn’t seem to be any relief or help to be found. In this scripture Jesus invites us to accept His yoke that initially may look too hard. To be yoked with Jesus requires us to submit to His plans and direction for us. Yet, His promise is that His way is easier as we allow Him to pull the heavy load, to carry the weight and make our paths straight. Cast your cares on Jesus today (1 Peter 5:7) and God will supply all your need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Happy Father’s Day

bowingtulipsFather God The Creator of the universe created Fathers in His image using the Love in His own heart. He bestowed upon them the greatest gift to in the universe that He alone created – Children. There is no love like the love of a parent and Father God was of course the First Father. A Father’s Love is an amazing Love because it comes right from Father God’s heart and Blessed be all Fathers in Jesus name.. (Not just today – everyday).

Genesis 18:17-19  (NASB) 17 The LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, 18 since Abraham will surely become a great and [a]mighty nation, and in him all the nations of the earth will be blessed? 19 For I have [b]chosen him, so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice, so that the LORD may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him.”

Flowing from the rich root of the olive tree – The LORD said that Abraham would surely become a great and mighty nation, and in him all nations of the earth will be blessed?  The LORD chose Abraham so that he could command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice, so that the LORD may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him.” This is the Father’s call – command your children and your household  – rise up and be the Spiritual head of your household, keep the way of the LORD and be Blessed. What a world we would all live in if this happened by every single Father upon every single home.  The word command does not mean command in a military fashion it means Bless and Instruct.  When you Bless your children instruct them in the way of the Lord – you are Blessed.

That is the Wisdom key that the world is missing.. Oh Abba Father our hearts cry out to YOU Alone  – please help each and every Father to learn to seek You first in all things – Instruct their children and household in Your way and Bless their children and household every single day by laying on of hands and commanding Your blessing over each of them.. In Jesus name Amen

Romans 11:23-24 The Voice (VOICE) 23 If those branches that have been cut from the tree do not stay in unbelief, then God will carefully graft them back onto the tree because He has the power to do that. 24 So if it is possible for you to be taken from a wild olive tree and become part of a cultivated olive tree, imagine how much easier it would be to reconnect branches that originally grew on that olive tree.

Romans 8:15 The Voice (VOICE) 15 You see, you have not received a spirit that returns you to slavery, so you have nothing to fear. The Spirit you have received adopts you and welcomes you into God’s own family. That’s why we call out to Him, “Abba! Father!” as we would address a loving daddy.
