Scripture for the week of July 6, 2014
Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Psalm 37:3-6 (NIV)Have betrayal and injustice robbed you of the provision, peace and future you had anticipated and hoped for? When all our hard work and good intentions have failed, this scripture encourages us to trust in the Lord, to do good, to delight in the Lord and to commit our way to Him followed by six amazing promises. He will protect us and provide the place for us to dwell in safety with the provision we need. When nothing makes sense, if we commit our path to the Lord, He will show us the way to go and is able fulfill the desires of our hearts. On top of all that, God promises the justice of vindication with the reward of setting everything right on our behalf like the bright and sunny dawning of a new day! Thank You, Lord.
