Quest of the Overcomers – Adar I

Overcoming Fruit From the Tree of Life – Adar I 5779

Adar I 5779

We have entered the last month of the Hebraic calendar which is Adar 1  beginning February 5, 2019 and ending Wednesday March 6, 2019. This is a leap year when Adar 1 is followed by the additional month of Adar 2 that is added every three years in order to sync with the solar calendar. In a leap year, Purim is celebrated in the added month.

Adar means strength and power. The Tribe of Adar is Naphtali – “Sweetness is to me”. It’s meaning is a time of celebration that the curse of bitterness is overturned and is turned into sweetness. This is an overcoming month to experience joy! It is said in apocryphal writings that Naphtali instructed his sons to fear the Lord; to serve and to follow after Him.

What is the fruit the Lord is offering to us in this season of Adar? Sweet fruit instead of bitter fruit!

In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. Revelation 22:2a NKJV

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. Psalms 34:8-9 NKJV

Clue – Sweetness in overcoming joy!

What if the Lord is offering us the fruit of Joy from the tree of life this month? Joy is one of the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control” Galatians 5:22 NKJV

Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10 NKJV

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” II Corinthians 12:9a NKJV

Clue – The root of bitterness

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; Hebrews 12:14-15 NKJV

During this Month of Adar, we have the choice to allow God to overturn our bitterness into the  sweetness of joy if we will allow Him to do so.

Clue – The gift of repentance

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. II Peter 3:9 NKJV

Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? Romans 2:4 NKJV

Ask the Lord to reveal any bitter fruit in your heart. Allow Him to search your heart and yield any bitterness that He exposes back to Him with genuine repentance. Ask Him to overturn any bitter offenses and evil decrees that have taken root in your heart and created bitterness. Ask Him to make your bitterness sweet. The sweetness in overcoming joy is the fruit to be tasted this month. Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for our victory and joy by overcoming all sin and death. We pray that you will know the Lord’s freedom from the pain and sorrows of the fruit of bitterness as you celebrate the taste of joy in the sweet fruit from the tree of life in this month of Adar!

We have all tasted bitterness in our lives. Here is a testimony I would like to share.  Beth Auman – Overcomer

Our lives were riddled with pain and loss until we met an amazing Woman of God who imparted wisdom from the ripe fruit of the tree of life into our lives. She spoke God’s Word over us, prayed and interceded for us and we received the instruction that we needed to produce and prosper. The prophetic instructions given to us in our situation from the Lord was the hope of fruitfulness.

After much loss we conceived and welcomed a beautiful daughter with great joy. She has been such an amazing gift and we praise the Lord everyday for her. Twelve years later, we welcomed our second daughter that has added more joy to our lives; another treasured gift of God.

When our oldest daughter conceived the first time she also suffered the same sorrowful loss I had before we had her.  We cried out to the Lord and communicated with the fertile ministry of Apostles Chuck and Pam Pierce, in which we are aligned. They in turn sowed a both a monetary seed into our daughter’s life as well as a prophetic Word that she would bear a double portion of fruit in the month of Adar and that God would make bitterness sweet.

She conceived again and delivered our first grand daughter in the Month of Adar. We pondered what could be the meaning of a double portion? Two years later in Adar II our second granddaughter was born! We are now awaiting the birth of our third granddaughter and it is very likely she will also be born in this leap year of Adar II! Our hearts are leaping with joy!

Our blessings are literally overtaking us. We have experienced the overcoming power of the Lord, turning the bitter fruit of sorrows into the sweetness of joyous celebrations! We give all Praise, Honor and Glory to Adonai our Elohim through the blood of Jesus Christ our LORD and in His Name.

The Lord is opening the eyes of our understanding in how to partake of the ripe fruit on the tree of life for each month. We hope that you will embark on the Quest of the Overcomer as we discover the abundant blessings He has prepared for us. May your worship before Him be filled with sweetness and joy.

“Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.   Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.” Psalms 37:3-6 NKJV

An Invitation to Join the Quest of the Overcomers by Beth Auman and JoBeth Kested

Throughout God’s Word from beginning to end there is instruction for those who choose to partake and follow; those who choose God, His Word, His Way. When God created this earth His intention for us was relationship with Him; in His Creation, which is GOOD. GOD IS GOOD. He wanted His family to only know GOOD. Adam and Eve sinned and became aware of Good and Evil. That was not God’s plan; it never was His intention for us to know or experience evil.

What is God’s plan for us now?

Clue – The tree of life:

Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the LORD God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life. Genesis 3:22-24 NKJV

In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Revelation 22:2 NKJV

In Revelation, John saw that the tree of life is on either side of the river. Repeat, the tree of life, “which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations” is on both sides of the river! We submit to you that when He states “on either side”, there is an invitation in this revelation for us to partake monthly of the tree of life, here and now on this side of eternity, in our Quest of the Lord; as well as the other side in eternity!

We propose that in learning and following the Biblical Month’s of God that follow His creation and solar cycles, not the world’s division of months, we are invited to rediscover lost truth with important things that need to be found! Understanding the Month’s of God, in the Hebrew Calendar, are keys of knowledge needed for us to learn the wisdom of how we can, even on this side of eternity, partake of the twelve manner of fruits, one per month. And, we propose that learning how to partake of this fruit and it’s leaves, are not only for the healing of the nations, but healing for our brokenness now, as well.

What is the ripe fruit that we are to partake of each month?

Clue – Lay hold of Wisdom:

She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her. Proverbs 3:18 NKJV

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise. Proverbs 11:30 NKJV

What is the tree of life?

Clue – Hope that comes:

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12 NKJV

Clue – A wholesome tongue is a tree of life:

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit. Proverbs 15:4 NKJV

Clue – To him that overcomes:

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God. Revelation 2:7 NKJV

To those that have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to us, The Church, let’s look at what we can discover in these verses: 1) If unfulfilled hopes make our hearts sick, shouldn’t we ask how we can see the desire of our hearts fulfilled? 2) Proverbs 15:4 answers a portion of that question by admonishing us to turn away, renounce and repent, from the perverse, corrupt and illegal words that break our spirit and are the cause of a breach, or brokenness, between us and the Holy Spirit. 3) One of the ways we can overcome is by embracing a wholesome tongue in learning to speak and declare the wholeness of truth that is revealed in the Word of God; that He is Who He says He is, and that we are who He says we are in Him when we choose to follow His path of life!

We must have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to us – The Church. Are we listening closely enough to hear His Wisdom?

How do we find our way to the tree of life?

Clue – The path of blessings and worship:

Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. Revelation 22:14 NKJV

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. Psalms 100:4 NKJV

In order to find the path of blessings we must be “doers” of His commandments in order to have access to the tree of life. We are invited to enter into His Gates with thanksgiving in our hearts for His endless mercy and grace. We are welcomed into His courts with our praises because He is God Almighty, our Wonderful Counselor, Jehovah Jireh – our Provider, Jehovah Rapha – our Healer and He is our Prince of Peace. Jesus is the key. He is the Door and entrance to the twelve Gates spoken of in the Book of Revelation and leads us to partake of the twelve fruits on the tree of life; one for each of the twelve Hebraic months.

How can we eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God? What is the paradise of God? Can we partake of this now? Is it a part of our path?

Clue – More about overcomers:

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Revelation 12:11 NKJV

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. I John 5:4 NKJV

On any quest there is a beginning and an end. There are steps along the way and instruction to adhere to. If the instructions are not followed failure or devastation is eminent. If the steps are followed with precision, then Victory is assured. We submit that there is overcoming power for us in the blood of the Lamb when the word of our testimony speaks the wholeness of truth, revealed to us in God’s Word. When we turn our focus away from ourselves, leaning not unto our own understanding, choosing to love what God loves, we tap into His overcoming strength to love not our own lives unto death because we LOVE HIM MORE!

Through the Blood of the Lamb – Victory is Assured. Our path is well lit and God has prepared instruction for us to follow. The important thing to embrace is that we must LOVE what God LOVE’s and heed His instructions given without veering off His path of light upon our steps.

You are invited to come on a quest with us as we step onto the path of our Ancient of Days and become the Overcomers that He ordained each of us to be.

Please Pray With Us

Adonai, we choose to partake of Your ripe fruit month by month on this quest of the Overcomer. Give us ears to hear, eyes to see the truth revealed in Your Word as we learn to pray and decree Your will on earth and in our lives as it is in Heaven. You have provided the way of Eternal life in Jesus, the Lamb on the throne, and we receive Your steadfast love that endures forever. Take our hands, lead us into the truth on Your overcoming path, with nothing to fear, and we will testify of Your unfathomable love even in the face of death. Yes, AMEN!
