Scripture of the Week by JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of June 28, 2020

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Many are the woes of the wicked but the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the one who trusts in him. Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart! Psalm 32:8,10-11 (NIV)

Have you ever experienced a time when just by catching a look from someone you would know, without a doubt, exactly what you needed to do or to STOP doing? Most of us can easily remember “the look” from a parent or a teacher that clearly spoke louder than words! The key to being directed by “the look” implies you had to turn your eyes in that direction. This scripture informs us that the Lord has His eyes upon us. When we turn our eyes away from the cares, confusion and distractions of our days to focus our attention and trust upon our Father God, He is ready and so willing to teach us, guide us, council us and surround us with His unfailing love. Then, with uplifted hearts we can sing, rejoice and be glad in the Lord our loving God. Thank You, Lord!

God’s Word is Sufficient by Beth Auman

God’s Word is sufficient. He gave us 66 Books and within them there is a solution for any situation we find ourselves in. This is what we must convey to our broken world as called ones, Ministers of Jesus Christ in whichever capacity, apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor or teacher. This world needs to hear His word, not our opinion. His Word is sufficient.

We are in a dire situation in this world right now. I see so many who are called by God, yet they are relying on their own words rather than God’s Word. As a Minister of Jesus Christ, I take His calling seriously. I cry out for Adonai to trust me daily with His Word and anointing. My post today is to bring awareness and know that our only hope is in God. We are responsible for what we convey.

And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as  evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

Ephesians 4:11-16

We all have different paths, yet we all have 1 Bible. The same 66 Books are available for all. There is Power in the Name of Jesus, who IS the Word of God. There is no power in our opinions, highly educated quotes or latest greatest youtube video with bits, pieces and parts of information that may or may not be truth. We are to wait for the Word through Holy Spirit and speak it as a well formed arrow that hits the target every single time because the Word came from God.

I raise my hand and ask God for forgiveness. That’s not me and that is not who I want to be. We live in serious times, times that only God can save, heal and restore.

Amos 3:3 CJB 3 Do two people travel together without having so agreed?

Those who hunger and thirst after the LORD will choose God’s Word every single time and those who love their own opinion and the piece of information that they have will be walking on a different path. The two cannot walk together.

God’s Word brings Shalom, Unity, all of the pieces of the pie. Make the decision to speak the Word from this point on. God’s Word is sufficient.

Daniel 2:19-21 CJB 19 Then the secret was revealed to Dani’el in a vision at night, and Dani’el blessed the God of heaven 20 in these words:

“Blessed be the name of God
from eternity past to eternity future!
For wisdom and power are his alone;
21 he brings the changes of seasons and times;
he installs and deposes kings;
he gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to those with discernment.

Tammuz 5780

Tammuz is the month to Worship or develop a golden calf. The time for vision and evaluate covenants that you’ve entered into. Watch who you shake hands with. It’s the month to Worship and radiate.

Here is a prayer that you can pray over your life.

Adonai, I Bless You in Jesus Name for the Month of Tammuz 5780. I offer my First Fruit unto You. Help me to see unholy covenants that I have entered into and forgive me for them. Show me how to break them and only be in covenant with You. I choose to Worship You and You alone. Make me radiate Your light now and eternally in Jesus Name. Amen

Scripture of The Week by JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of June 21, 2020

For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods, in whose hand are the depths of the earth, the peaks of the mountains are His also. The sea is His, for it was He who made it, and His hands formed the dry land. Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. Psalm 95:3-6 (NASB)

Have you ever had your breath taken away in the beauty of an ocean sunset, stood in awe of snow capped mountains or captivated by the delicate display of wild flowers in a meadow? Elohim, the Creator God, the most masterful of all artists, reveals Himself to us in the minuscule and extravagant details of His creation. God displays His majesty in the loftiness of mountains high and ocean depths. He calls us to fear and wonder at His sovereignty in the power of storms and miraculous expressions of mercy in our lives. He draws us near to His heart in the loveliness of butterfly wings, the fragrance of a rose and the wonder at the birth of a baby. Then, wonder of all wonders we are invited to call Him Father because He loves us! Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. Amen!

Scripture of the Week by JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of June 14, 2020

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV)

Have you ever been blindfolded and not able to see where you are going; or found yourself without a light trying to find something in the dark? It is challenging to acknowledge that the things we see are only temporary when it is our tendency to trust in what we see as absolute reality and truth. In this scripture we are exhorted to focus all our hope on eternity in God’s presence that we cannot currently see. Many would say that they can not believe in a God they can’t see, yet they do not hesitate to travel in airplanes that fly upon winds that eyes cannot see and turn on the power switches in their homes everyday using electricity that they do not see either. God reveals Himself in multitudes of ways that thrill us each and every day; twinkling stars, morning sunrise, ocean sunsets, blooming flowers, a beloved’s kiss, and a baby’s smile to name a few. The dream of “happily ever after” is in each of our hearts because “He has placed eternity in our hearts” (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Yes, Lord, we believe!

Scripture for the week of June 7, 2020

Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You. —the Great, the Mighty God, whose name is the Lord of hosts. Jeremiah 31:17,18b (NKJV)

Have you ever gazed upon the innumerable stars in the night sky in awe of the power and majesty of God? It is really easy to then feel so small and insignificant with doubts that God could care about us and our circumstances. Mighty God in this verse means Warrior, a Champion and Hero. The God who made all of creation, Warrior Lord of all the angelic armies of heaven, is also our Champion and Hero! Are you battle weary of circumstances beyond your control or blind sighted by attacks you least expected? No matter what you are facing, be encouraged and trust that the great and powerful arm of Mighty God (El-Gibbor), your Champion and Hero, is outstretched to you and nothing is too hard for Him! There is nothing too hard for our God to protect and provide, to lead and guide us in all our circumstances. Yes, Amen!
