Scripture of the Week by JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of November 28, 2021
By JoBeth Kested

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalm 103:2-5 (NKJV)

When considering a new job or opportunity, don’t we carefully evaluate the benefits before making our decision? And, when a job gets difficult or frustrating we often remind ourselves of the benefits in order to hang in there. Like the Psalmist in these verses, we may need to be reminded of the significant benefits that are ours when we choose to follow the Lord. By applying the truths of this scripture to ourselves individually, we can declare: He forgives MY iniquities (wrong tendencies and actions)! He heals MY diseases! He redeems MY life from destruction! He crowns ME with love and mercy! He satisfies ME with goodness and He renews MY youth like the eagles! Be blessed in your soul today and forget not His benefits. Amen.

Hanukkah Blessings

Tonight at Sundown the Feastival of light begins.. Hanukkah

Believers in Yeshua (Jesus) may Adonai our Elohim bring His Holy Spirit, His Spirit of Wisdom,Revelation, Counsel,Might, Knowledge and The Fear of Adonai upon you so that you can see.

Yeshua spoke to them again: “I am the light of the world; whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light which gives life.” John 8:12 CJB

Then came Hanukkah in Yerushalayim. It was winter, and Yeshua was walking around inside the Temple area, in Shlomo’s Colonnade. So the Judeans surrounded him and said to him, “How much longer are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us publicly!” Yeshua answered them, “I have already told you, and you don’t trust me. The works I do in my Father’s name testify on my behalf, but the reason you don’t trust is that you are not included among my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice, I recognize them, they follow me, and I give them eternal life. They will absolutely never be destroyed, and no one will snatch them from my hands. My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all; and no one can snatch them from the Father’s hands. I and the Father are one.”
John 10:22-30 CJB

Yeshua (Jesus), The Light of the World who stepped out of darkness celebrated Hanukkah..

If that messes up your theology, then perhaps you need to have a prayer time with The One who created and IS light and ask Him to open your eyes to see and your heart to know Him more.

Declaration For Today In Jesus Name

We Declare and Decree Psalm 62 in Jesus Name Today

For the leader. Set in the style of Y’dutun. A psalm of David: My soul waits in silence for God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and salvation, my stronghold; I won’t be greatly moved. How long will you assail a person in order to murder him, all of you, as if he were a sagging wall or a shaky fence? They only want to shake him from his height, they take delight in lying — with their mouths they bless, but inwardly they curse. (Selah) My soul, wait in silence for God alone, because my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and salvation, my stronghold; I won’t be moved. My safety and honor rest on God. My strong rock and refuge are in God. Trust in him, people, at all times; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. (Selah) Ordinary folks are merely a breath and important people a sham; if you lay them on a balance-scale, they go up — both together are lighter than nothing. Don’t put your trust in extortion, don’t put false hopes in robbery; even if wealth increases, don’t set your heart on it. God has spoken once, I have heard it twice: strength belongs to God. Also to you, Adonai, belongs grace; for you reward all as their deeds deserve.

Scripture of the Week by JoBeth Jested

Scripture for the week of November 21, 2021
By JoBeth Kested

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures forever. To him who alone does great wonders, His love endures forever. Psalm 136:1-4 (NIV)

What would you answer if you were asked what is your greatest desire? If we are honest and willing to be completely transparent most of us would acknowledge the deepest longing of our hearts is to be loved. We all long for and cherish the loving relationships of family and friends. We are encouraged in these scriptures to give thanks to The Lord, God of gods, and Lord of lords because His love endures forever. In this Psalm, there are twenty-six declarations that His love endures forever following verses extolling the majesty of God’s creation, His awesome wonders, His mighty power and extravagant mercy. During this season of Thanksgiving we often remember and share the many things we are thankful for. It is also good to remember how blessed we are and to give thanks that The Lord God Almighty is good, He does great wonders and His steadfast love for us endures forever!

Scripture for the week of November 14, 2021
By JoBeth Kested

As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. Psalm 18:30-32 (NKJV)

Have you ever been frustrated with your imperfections, disappointed with some imperfect people in your life, or weary of this imperfect world? What a huge comfort to discover the realization that the ways of our God are perfect and to know with assurance that His Word has proven to be perfect, too. He is the protector and defender of all who put their trust in Him. He alone is the Almighty God above all gods, majestic Lord above all lords and the Prince of Peace. There is nothing in this world more sure, more solid and more dependable than our God, The Rock. Our loving, compassionate and merciful God lifts us out of our pity puddles of discouragement, renews our strength and even makes our crooked rough roads into perfect paths of peace. Thank You, Lord!

Declaration For Today In Jesus Name

Is Psalm 13 your hearts cry to Adonai today?
If so, then make verse 6 your Decree:

But I trust in your grace, my heart rejoices as you bring me to safety. I will sing to Adonai, because he gives me even more than I need. Psalm 13:6

Psalm 13 For the leader. A psalm of David:

How long, Adonai? Will you forget me forever?

How long will you hide your face from me?

How long must I keep asking myself what to do, with sorrow in my heart every day?

How long must my enemy dominate me?

Look, and answer me, Adonai my God!

Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death. Then my enemy would say, “I was able to beat him”; and my adversaries would rejoice at my downfall.

But I trust in your grace, my heart rejoices as you bring me to safety. I will sing to Adonai, because he gives me even more than I need. Psalm 13:1-6 CJB

Scripture of the Week by JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of November 7, 2021

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord… Jeremiah 29:11-14a (NKJV)

Have you ever felt like you messed up so bad that you are beyond forgiveness and undeserving of God’s love? Do your prayers seem to bounce off the ceiling and God’s presence feels impossible to find? Sometimes it can feel like God is playing Hide and Seek with us and is nowhere to be found. But, these verses assure us that God really does hear our prayers when we cry out to Him and that He longs to reveal Himself to us. Though it may be hard for us to fathom in the midst of our messed up situations, the truth is, our loving Father God harbors no thoughts of evil against us. These words express His longing to reveal His plans of extravagant goodness to us with a future full of hope. Be encouraged in this promise today that you will find the Lord when you pray and seek Him with all your heart.

Declaration For Today In Jesus Name

Psalm 96 CJB

Sing to Adonai a new song! Sing to Adonai, all the earth! Sing to Adonai, bless his name! Proclaim his victory day after day! Declare his glory among the nations, his wonders among all peoples! For Adonai is great, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared more than all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but Adonai made the heavens. In his presence are honor and majesty; in his sanctuary, strength and splendor. Give Adonai his due, you families from the peoples; give Adonai his due of glory and strength; give Adonai the glory due to his name; bring an offering, and enter his courtyards. Worship Adonai in holy splendor; tremble before him, all the earth! Say among the nations, “ Adonai is king!” The world is firmly established, immovable. He will judge the peoples fairly. Let the heavens rejoice; let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and everything in it; let the fields exult and all that is in them. Then all the trees in the forest will sing before Adonai, because he has come, he has come to judge the earth; he will judge the world rightly and the peoples with his faithfulness.
Psalm 96:1-13

Declaration For Today In Jesus Name

Psalm 139 CJB

For the leader. A psalm of David:

Adonai, you have probed me, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I stand up, you discern my inclinations from afar, you scrutinize my daily activities. You are so familiar with all my ways that before I speak even a word, Adonai, you know all about it already. You have hemmed me in both behind and in front and laid your hand on me. Such wonderful knowledge is beyond me, far too high for me to reach. Where can I go to escape your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I climb up to heaven, you are there; if I lie down in Sh’ol, you are there. If I fly away with the wings of the dawn and land beyond the sea, even there your hand would lead me, your right hand would hold me fast. If I say, “Let darkness surround me, let the light around me be night,” even darkness like this is not too dark for you; rather, night is as clear as day, darkness and light are the same. For you fashioned my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I thank you because I am awesomely made, wonderfully; your works are wonders — I know this very well. My bones were not hidden from you when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes could see me as an embryo, but in your book all my days were already written; my days had been shaped before any of them existed. God, how I prize your thoughts! How many of them there are! If I count them, there are more than grains of sand; if I finish the count, I am still with you. God, if only you would kill off the wicked! Men of blood, get away from me! They invoke your name for their crafty schemes; yes, your enemies misuse it. Adonai, how I hate those who hate you! I feel such disgust with those who defy you! I hate them with unlimited hatred! They have become my enemies too. Examine me, God, and know my heart; test me, and know my thoughts. See if there is in me any hurtful way, and lead me along the eternal way.
Psalm 139:1-24

Declarared in the Name above all names Yeshua-Jesus! Amen
