Scripture of the Week by JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of March 26, 2023
By JoBeth Kested

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NKJV

Have you ever felt like the cowardly lion in the Wizard of Oz, lacking in strength and courage? Are you feeling overwhelmed and afraid of facing what may be ahead of you? The Lord spoke this word to Joshua as he faced the daunting challenge of leading the children of Israel into their promised land; where they faced giants and enemy armies. Sometimes God requires us to overcome impossible giants and overwhelming enemies in our paths, on the road to our promised lands of destiny, too. Our Almighty God would not command us to be strong and of good courage without also giving us the promise that He is with us and able to supply all our needs. (Philippians 4:19). Lord, grant us your strength in our weakness, courage instead of fear and renewed faith in your goodness for the future and hope you have planned for us. (Jeremiah 29:11) Yes, and Amen!

This Nissan First Fruits begins His brand new year. It’s a great time to learn and celebrate!!

See the 9 Blessings that you will miss out on and ask Abba to show you how to honor Him in His Feasts.

Exodus 23…

  1. Divine Protection
  2. Protection from Enemies through Positioning and Alignment
  3. Commissioning of Divine Authority
  4. Supernatural Health and Kingdom Prosperity
  5. Covenant Protection for Multiplication and Longevity
  6. A Godly Release of Fear and Respect from Enemies
  7. Relief from the Threat of Enemies
  8. The Gift of Dominion and an Increased Inheritance
  9. Freedom from Corrupt Covenants

The Word tells us that Adonai instructed One Lamb for household. Adonai even said that if your household is too small for a lamb, then share with your nearest neighbor according to the number of people.

Yeshua (Jesus) Christ is our Lord– He is the Lamb that was slain for the forgiveness of sin.

John 1:29 NASB The next day he *saw Jesus coming to him and *said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Revelation 12:11 (NASB) 11 And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even [a]when faced with death.

Many Christians have embraced the Hebraic Roots of their faith in Yeshua (Jesus). Realizing that Jesus of course was and still is Hebrew Born. That Adonai has a sacred calendar that we must learn about and that we are to observe the Feasts times that He instructed. For no other reason than because He said so and it is important to HIM. We must learn to love what Abba Loves!

Ephesians 2:14-16 (NASB) 14 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the [a]barrier of the dividing wall, 15 [b]by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might [c]make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, 16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, [d]by it having put to death the enmity.

One New Man, or in Hebrew “one new humanity “, thus establishing peace and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity. Yeshua (Jesus), made Himself our Shalom, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into ONE NEW HUMANITY.

The Word of God does not free us in this statement from celebrating the Feasts – He indeed includes us and our desire is to take the one Lamb per household and apply the Blood of Jesus over our Generations and our neighbors. One Lamb per household and if you are a small household – then Share. Jesus, Himself said it this way. Mark 16:15(NASB) 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

Adonai has a sacred calendar and within His calendar there is a cycle of First Fruits – each new month beginning with the First month which is Nissan – and contains Passover – this is the First of the First because Adonai said so in His Word. Nothing ever erased anything in His Word. The Bible is ONE as Father Son and Holy Spirit are ONE. You cannot separate it because you want to think of an old covenant and a new one. You must embrace it and know that every Word gives revelation of Yeshua The Messiah, (Jesus Christ Our Lord).

Please read this and allow the Lord to give you Revelation from His heart.

Exodus 12:1-25 Now Adonai spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying, “This month will mark the beginning of months for you; it is to be the first month of the year for you. Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month, each man is to take a lamb for his family one lamb for the household. But if the household is too small for a lamb, then he and his nearest neighbor are to take one according to the number of the people. According to each person eating, you are to make your count for the lamb. Your lamb is to be without blemish, a year old male. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats. You must watch over it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel is to slaughter it at twilight. They are to take the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the crossbeam of the houses where they will eat it. They are to eat the meat that night, roasted over a fire. With matzot and bitter herbs they are to eat it. Do not eat any of it raw or boiled with water, but only roasted with fire—its head with its legs and its innards. So let nothing of it remain until the morning. Whatever remains until the morning you are to burn with fire. Also you are to eat it this way: with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet and your staff in your hand. You are to eat it in haste. It is Adonai’s Passover. “For I will go through the land of Egypt on that night and strike down every firstborn, both men and animals, and I will execute judgments against all the gods of Egypt. I am Adonai. The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. So there will be no plague among you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. “This day is to be a memorial for you. You are to keep it as a feast to Adonai. Throughout your generations you are to keep it as an eternal ordinance. For seven days you are to eat matzot, but on the first day you must remove hametz from your houses, for whoever eats hametz from the first day until the seventh day, that soul will be cut off from Israel. The first day is to be a holy assembly for you as well as the seventh day. No manner of work is to be done on those days, except what is to be eaten by every person—that alone may be prepared by you. So you are to observe the Feast of Matzot, for on this very same day have I brought your ranks out of the land of Egypt. Therefore you are to observe this day throughout your generations as an eternal ordinance. During the first month in the evening of the fourteenth day of the month, you are to eat matzot, until the evening of the twenty-first day of the month. For seven days no hametz is to be found in your houses, for whoever eats hametz, that soul will be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is an outsider or one who is born in the land. You are to eat no hametz; in all your houses you are to eat matzot.” Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Go, select lambs for your families and slaughter the Passover lamb. You are to take a bundle of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and apply it to the crossbeam and two doorposts with the blood from the basin. None of you may go out the door of his house until morning. Adonai will pass through to strike down the Egyptians, but when He sees the blood on the crossbeam and the two doorposts, Adonai will pass over that door, and will not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you down. Also you are to observe this event as an eternal ordinance, for you and your children. “When you come into the land which Adonai will give you as He has promised, you are to keep this ceremony.

As a family, we do not celebrate Passover in a Religious way. We come together and celebrate that Adonai gave one lamb per household – Yeshua (Jesus). He is our Salvation. We apply the blood of the Lamb on our doorposts. Decree Salvation to our generations and have a meal together. We praise the Lord and thank Him for His plan. We ask Him to help us celebrate His Feasts His way and we learn something new each year.

This year I truly hope that you will allow the Lord to minister His Revelation to you and see that there is no bunny or egg in the Bible. Bunnies are not evil nor are eggs but they have nothing at all to do with the Life, Death, Burial or Resurrection of Yeshua (Jesus) our LORD. You are responsible for what you teach others and that God’s Word is 100% all that we need now and forever. Take a moment and ask Him how to celebrate. He will lead you and guide you into all truth and you will have a closer relationship with Him. He Loves you and wants you to know what He Loves.

Allow the Lord through His Passover Lamb who takes away the sins of the entire world to bring Salvation to your entire household, your generation. WOW! A Lamb for a household. John 16:13 (NASB) 13 But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.

Revelation 12:11 (NASB) 11 And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even [a]when faced with death.

Make this Decree over your life: I have Passed over from death unto life by the Blood of the Lamb out of the hand of the enemy. (Dr Robert Heidler and Derick Prince)

Today, I apply the blood of the Lamb – Jesus the Messiah over our doorposts. I praise the Lord for the miracle deliverance of the Jewish people out of the hand of their enemy in Egypt.

I declare that I have passed over from death unto life by the blood of the Lamb out of the hand of the enemy and I ask Adonai for your Salvation. I have received The Lamb for my household and anyone who is near to me who needs to know the Lamb who was slain for the forgiveness of all sins – Please ask Him to forgive your sins today, apply the blood of the Lamb over your doorposts and receive Jesus as your Lord and Messiah and Pass Over from death unto Life. Amen and Amen

May the Shalom (Wholeness) of Jesus the Messiah be your portion always and may you Shalam (Receive) all that He has for you.

Love Beyond Measure – Yeshua (Jesus) IS King of kings and Lord of lords

Scripture of the Week by JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of March 18, 2023
By JoBeth Kested

I will stand at my guard post. I will station myself on the wall. I will watch to see what He will say to me and what answer I will get to my complaint. Habakkuk 2:1 (GW)

Have you ever had to wait longingly for an important letter or phone call that would free you from the anxiety of something unknown or for hopes fulfilled? How agonizing the waiting process can be; demanding all of our attention and hindering our ability to focus on anything else! What if we turned that same waiting expectation and anticipation toward hearing God’s voice? It is interesting that this scripture instructs us to watch and wait with the assurance that God will answer our complaints or questions. Or with the Lords gentle reproving correction from some others translations. We are encouraged to take our place like a disciplined soldier standing guard upon the fortress high place and to watch with confident expectation that our loving God will surely answer all our doubts, fears, questions and complaints. Lord, help us to wait on You. Give us eyes to see your ways and ears to hear your voice. Yes, amen.

May grace and Shalom be yours in full measure

May grace and shalom be yours in full measure, as you come to a full knowledge of God and Yeshua our Lord. God’s power has given us everything we need for life and godliness, through our knowing the One who called us to his own glory and goodness. By these he has given us valuable and superlatively great promises, so that through them you might come to share in God’s nature and escape the corruption which evil desires have brought into the world.

For this very reason, try your hardest to furnish your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with perseverance, perseverance with godliness, godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if you have these qualities in abundance, they keep you from being barren and unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah. Indeed, whoever lacks them is blind, so shortsighted that he forgets that his past sins have been washed away.

Therefore, brothers, try even harder to make your being called and chosen a certainty. For if you keep doing this, you will never stumble. Thus you will be generously supplied with everything you need to enter the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Deliverer, Yeshua the Messiah.
2Peter 2-11 CJB

We are to try even harder to make your being called and chosen a certainty. We do this not by faking it until we make it. We do this by furnishing our faith … with goodness, goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with perseverance, perseverance with godliness, godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if you have these qualities in abundance, they keep you from being barren and unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

What is furnishing our faith, you may be asking. Peter makes it very understandable. Move in like weighty furniture: goodness with knowledge; knowledge with self control; self control with perseverance; pperseverance with godliness; godliness with brotherly affection and brotherly affection with love.

He further tells us that if we place weight on these things with every thought, deed and action in abundance, they will keep us from being barren and unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

Wow! Abba, we come before You today and repent for our missing the mark. For not lining up with what You place weight on. Our desire is for Your authentic outpouring of Your Holy Spirit. Have it all, Abba. We lay down our agenda, our worship, our plans. We lay it all down before You and receive Your authentic Ruach HaKodesh in Yeshua’s Name.

We declare that we will try even harder to make being called and chosen a certainty. We will furnish our faith from this point forward as You have instructed. We command barrenness to leave!, blindness to leave, eyes and ears to be opened! That we may receive the full knowledge of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah!

We commit to keep doing this. We receive Your Word through Peter that by doing as You have instructed, we will not stumble. That we will be generously supplied with everything that we need to enter the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Deliverer, Yeshua the Messiah. Amen!

Scripture Of The Week By JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of March 11, 2023
By JoBeth Kested

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 3:13-14

Are you tired of carry around the heavy baggage of some old disappointments, regrets and sorrows? Wouldn’t it be nice to let go of the weights that keep holding us back and tripping us up? This scripture in Ephesians encourages us to focus on the prize of all God has given us in Jesus that is already within our reach. We must let go of one rung on a ladder in order to reach for the next to climb higher or like a flying acrobat must let go of one swing reaching forward to grab the bar of the next one to swing ahead. We can reach for the Lord’s hand to guide us forward toward a renewed joy and hope in His salvation, goodness and provision. So, letting go of all that old baggage, let’s press toward the high calling and promise of abundant life (John 10:10) that is ours in Christ Jesus. Thank You, God!

Purim Blessings 5783

Sweetness in overcoming joy! Celebrate Purim.

The Feast of Purim is in the month of Adar and is the happiest, most joyous celebration time in the Hebraic calendar. This is definitely a month for those who have prevailed with us on the “Quest of the Overcomers” to experience fullness of  joy!

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control” Galatians 5:22NKJV

Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10NKJV

The Feast of Esther is on the 13th of Adar, which celebrates the story in the book of Esther about the beautiful Jewish girl that became the queen of king Ahasuerus in ancient Persia. The Feast of Purim, on Adar 14, is remembrance of when the wicked schemes of Haman’s bitterness towards the Jew, Mordecai, (Esther’s uncle) to destroy all the Jews in the land, were overthrown and turned into sweetness of joy!

“When Haman saw that Mordecai neither bowed down nor paid homage to him, Haman was filled with rage. But he disdained to lay hands on Mordecai alone, for they had told him who the people of Mordecai were; therefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews, the people of Mordecai, who were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus.” Esther 3:5-6NASB

“…In the name of King Ahasuerus it was written, and sealed with the king’s signet ring. And the letters were sent by couriers into all the king’s provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to annihilate all the Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar, and to plunder their possessions.” Esther 3:12-13

And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:13-14

Esther trusted in the wise counsel of her uncle Mordecai and submitted herself and the eminent destruction of her Jewish people to God. She relied totally on Him alone as she instructed all her handmaidens and the Jews in the city to fast and pray with her. With clear instructions, requiring her trust and obedience, she was not disappointed to see the salvation of God. In the end it was Haman and his entire family that were destroyed and the Jewish people were saved!

“By these letters the king permitted the Jews who were in every city to gather together and protect their lives—to destroy, kill, and annihilate all the forces of any people or province that would assault them, both little children and women, and to plunder their possessions, on one day in all the provinces of King Ahasuerus, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar.

The Jews had light and gladness, joy and honor. And in every province and city, wherever the king’s command and decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a holiday.” Esther 8:11-12, 16-17a NKJV

What is our Spiritual warfare assignment in this month of Adar? Pray about this.

Scripture Of The Week By JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of March 5, 2023
By JoBeth Kested

He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:29-31 (KJV)

Have you ever been so weary with the heaviness of discouragement that you feel like you can hardly hold your head up much less walk or run? Or are you facing situations beyond your control that seem impossible to deal with? This scripture informs us that those who wait on the Lord have access to His power and strength beyond where the young will faint and give up! Though we usually find it hard to wait on anything or anybody, this kind of waiting is not idle with twittleling our thumbs. It is an active, persevering, listening and inquiring kind of waiting with expectation and anticipation for a demonstration of God’s miraculous power working in us and through us and for us. As we wait on the Lord, His supernatural power with His mighty strength renews and empowers us to run our race and also lifts our spirit up to soar like eagles! Lord, please help us and teach us how to wait!
