BEAUTY

One day I was visiting a cosmetic counter, and the young woman asked me, “Do you not want some eye cream for those fine lines?” I politely said, “No, thank you.” I’m so very grateful today for His promises and no matter much my body ages throughout the years, God still sees me as His little girl.

1 SAMUEL 16:7 But God told Samuel, “Looks aren’t everything. Don’t be impressed with his looks and stature. I’ve already eliminated him. God judges’ persons differently than humans do. Men and women look at the face; God looks into the heart” (MSG).

God today that He looks at our inner beauty – our heart. God never considers those kinds of things as meaningful such as how much makeup we wear or what brands we purchase.

1 TIMOTHY 2:9 Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire (ESV).

Simply, we are beautiful to Him because He is our Creator. God’s concept of pure beauty is a gentle and quiet spirit which is even more beautiful than our physical outward appearance. Your inner spirit is what matters most Him.
