Kislev is the month of dreams. The month to “chalom,” which means to dream and be made healthy and strong.

“In the Last Days, I will pour out from my Spirit upon everyone. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Acts 2:17 (CJB)

One of our clues during this month of Kislev is “To Dream.”

Are you ready to see visions and dream dreams? Are you ready to “chalom with Adonai and be made healthy and strong? Scriptures reveal to us that He speaks to us through dreams for understanding, and clarity in many life situations. He gives us keys of instruction and direction with authority through our dreams to extend His will on earth.

Then God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, “Jacob, Jacob!” And he said, “Here I am.” Genesis 46:2 (NKJV)

But it happened that night that the word of the LORD came to Nathan, saying, “Go and tell My servant David, ‘Thus says the LORD: “Would you build a house for Me to dwell in?” II Samuel 7:4-5 (NKJV)

“But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed, were these:” Daniel 2:28 (NKJV)

Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way. Matthew 2:12 (NKJV)

Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, “Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.” Acts 18:9-10 NKJV

“I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you prohibit on earth will be prohibited in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.” Matthew 16:19  (CJB)

Are you troubled by lost hopes and abandoned, unfulfilled dreams? Adonai is beckoning to you today to dream a little dream with Him. If you have never done so before, now is a good time to acknowledge your need for a Savior and invite Yeshua – Jesus, into your life today. Just raise your hands, and ask Him to be the LORD of your life, turn away from your path of wrong choices and sins, receive His forgiveness and step into His dreams for you that are full of goodness and blessings. He has such a beautiful plan for your life. Receive His dreams for you today.

“For I know what plans I have in mind for you,’ says ADONAI, ‘plans for well-being, not for bad things; so that you can have hope and a future. When you call to me and pray to me, I will listen to you. When you seek me, you will find me, provided you seek for me wholeheartedly; and I will let you find me,’ says ADONAI.” Yirmeyahu (Jerermiah) 29:11-14a CJB

An exert from the month of Kislev in  “The Quest of the Overcomers.”

“For God may speak in one way, or in another, Yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falls upon men, While slumbering on their beds, Then He opens the ears of men, And seals their instruction.” Job 33:14-16 (NKJV)

Kislev is known as the month of dreams. The word for dream in Hebrew is “chalom” and is derived from the verb meaning “to be made healthy or strong.” This is a month to watch our sleep patterns as the Lord often speaks to us in dreams. “He gives to His beloved even in his sleep.” (Ps 127:2 NASB) He imparts revelations, warnings, encouragement and truth with understanding for our future. Each dream is a parable to be revealed. The Torah portions for the month of Kislev contain more dream references than any other month.

You may want to begin keeping a dream journal during this month of Kislev. Adonai seals instructions in our hearts through our dreams. Sleep is actually a metaphor for death and the new moons are symbolic times of resurrection. Human beings sleep appropriately one third of our lives. Let’s become more and more aware of our dreams and how our LORD wants to communicate with us while we sleep.
