O’ Say Can you SEE – by Beth Auman

FlagCould it be that Francis Scott Key was trying to tell those of the future generations in the United States of America something? A great reminder to Trust God and Give Him all of the Glory? Read the entire poem.

He instructs us in the first verse “O’ say can you see?

O! say can you see, by the dawn’s early light, What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming, Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight, O’er the ramparts we watch’d, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there – O! say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave O’er the land of the free, and the home of the brave? On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep, Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze o’er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam, In full glory reflected now shines on the stream – ‘Tis the star-spangled banner, O! long may it wave O’er the land of the free, and the home of the brave. And where is that band who so vauntingly swore That the havock of war and the battle’s confusion A home and a country should leave us no more? Their blood has wash’d out their foul foot-steps’ pollution, No refuge could save the hireling and slave, From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave; And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O’er the land of the free, and the home of the brave.

O! thus be it ever when freemen shall stand Between their lov’d home,

and the war’s desolation, Blest with vict’ry and peace, may the heav’n-rescued land Praise the power that hath made and preserv’d us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto – ‘In God is our trust!’ And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O’er the land of the free, and the home of the brave.   Francis Scott Key

I give God all of the Glory, I trust Him – and I want to See.  Read that very last verse, it’s not well known but WOW! when you read it – you will know why. They should have left that last verse in and never modified Francis Scott Key’s work. I would have never know this myself because I am not a history buff. I web cast with Glory of Zion and Robert Heidler on this last Sunday. It was awesome and I praise God for every opportunity to be a hearer of His Word and a Seer in His Kingdom.

We must all pray for America – we must cry out to God for America. No matter what we think or the way that we feel about what is going on. Personally, I find this difficult sometimes. It is really easy to allow negative emotions to rise up and curses to fly out of our mouths. I’m guilty of this and ask God for forgiveness.  We are human and some of what is going on in our world right now is really bad. But spreading negative things is not the answer. That gives God no glory at all.

Francis Scott Key was in a boat praying all night while rockets’ red glare (bombs going off), praying and watching to see if the flag was still standing. He was in a battle people. We are in a battle people and we will be battling until Jesus returns. We will only win this in our prayer closets on our knees, speaking blessings and not curses.

God is still on His throne and He commanded us to speak Blessing. Not curse. Don’t speak a single curse out of your mouth over the United States of America. If you can’t say one good thing over America then please – re-read Francis Scott Key’s entire poem out loud – or read the end of the Bible out loud. But, do not speak any form of curse out of your mouth over the United States of America because when you do that – you are cursing your own self, your own generations, your land. The land that God has given to you through the purchased price of Jesus Christ’s Blood.  Watch your mouth, death and life are in the power of your tongue.

Proverbs 18:21 (NASB) 21 Death and life are in the [a]power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

When we as believers in Jesus Christ see something that makes us feel a negative emotion, we are to speak life to that situation, not death. God gave His Word so that we could know right from wrong. When anything comes against the Word of God – negative emotions are stirred within us. However, in our humanity, we spew out the first thing that bubbles up our of our mouths. That is not what God wants us to do and that is not what Jesus did when faced with situations in the Bible. God shows each of us things – for prayer and intercession. Don’t allow the devil access to your tongue, Always ask God what He wants you to pray, declare or decree into the situation.

There are so many things going on in our world today, we must first and foremost know that God has things well in hand. He has a plan and we must yield to His plan and Trust Him. When we speak negativity towards people, government and leaders thereof, we are speaking death. We are on God’s side and we do not agree with many things that are going on in this world, God certainly does not agree with many of the things that are going on in our world right now, however these things did not surprise God. He see’s all and know’s all and His plan to deal with sin is and always will be the shedding of His Son’s blood on the cross. We must all remember that we are responsible for and will give account for every idle word that comes out of our mouth.

Matthew 12:36 (KJV) 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment

Take a page out of History – which by the way is HIS Story. The Story of Jesus Christ – it all points to Jesus. The very word used to look at the past things is History – His Story.  O’ say can you see?

Father God, open the eyes of our understanding in Jesus name so that we can see His Story clearly, we yield to You and give you all of the Glory, Praise and Honor. Bless us with victory and peace. May the heaven rescued land Praise the power that hath made and preserved us a nation. Then conquer we must, when our cause is just, And this be our motto – ” In God We Trust! And the star spangled banner in triumph shall wave over the land of the free, and the home of the brave. In Jesus name. Amen and Amen

I have read the end of the Bible – and perhaps it’s time that you read it too. So today I bring the very end of the Bible for you to read. I chose the font color of the end of the Bible red because it was purchased with the Blood of Jesus Christ. Our freedom is a part of His Story. America is a part of His Story and in His name we will fulfill our destiny and be the over comers that Jesus is coming back for. I inserted the photo of the rainbow because the rainbow belongs to God, He created it and it is His promise to His People that the end of the Bible will come to pass. He will never again flood the entire earth.  It shall be fulfilled – All Glory, Praise and Honor to the Most High God in Jesus name Amen and Amen

Revelation - The End

John 8:31-32(NASB) The Truth Will Make You Free

31 So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

Only if we continue in The Word of God will the truth be revealed to us and make us free.  Jesus is the Way, Truth and Life.  John 14:6 (NASB) Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior today and know the Truth, follow Him because He is the Way and Live Eternally with Him in Heaven with His Father – The Creator of the entire Universe, The Eternal One. Jesus Loves you and He is waiting for you to give your heart to Him.

Romans 10:8-10 (VOICE) But what does it actually say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”[a] (that is, the good news we have been called to preach to you). So if you believe deep in your heart that God raised Jesus from the pit of death and if you voice your allegiance by confessing the truth that “Jesus is Lord,” then you will be saved! 10 Belief begins in the heart and leads to a life that’s right with God; confession departs from our lips and brings eternal salvation.

See, that’s what it is all about, Salvation.  All of the Battles and Wars, prejudice, rockets’ red glare and bombs bursting in air.  O’ Say Can You SEE? We are to Pray for the Salvation of America, to Bless America. Pray for everyone’s Salvation.  Perhaps all will not be saved but if we don’t ask, if we don’t bless, if we don’t do what the Bible says to do then who are we?

Our great commission is Mark 16:15-16 (NASB) 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

I pray for each of you to become Salvation minded, that God Himself will give each of you the boldness and heart to walk into every  Grocery Store, Shopping Plaza, Mall, Gas Station,  Truck Stop, Dr.’s office, Law Firm, City Council building, Place of employment , everywhere that you go and Bless that place and everyone in it. Bless them and Ask God for every person’s Salvation that is in that and give God all of the Glory, Praise and Honor in Jesus name. Amen and Amen
