Scripture for the week of May 6, 2018
Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11 (KJV)Have you ever pondered what you really need to find the happiness you hope for? Have you been tempted to focus on your desires for pleasure and happiness even if it means hurting others? The dominant voices of this world tell us that the only path to fulfillment, personal pleasure and happiness is to pursue “whatever makes you happy”, “take care of number one first”, or “you can’t make anyone else happy if you aren’t happy”. This scripture challenges us to ask God to show us His path for our life with the hope for a joy that is greater than the world’s measure of happiness. For in His presence, at His right hand, we are positioned close to His power, authority and protection with the promise that we will find the fulness of joy and experience pleasures without end that we all long for. Say, “Yes” to finding the Lord’s path of joy and blessing that He has for you!
