Scripture for the week of November 27, 2016

I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. Psalm 121:2-3 (NASB)

Have you ever suddenly slipped and taken a fall because there was nothing to grab on to or no one there to catch you? Sometimes the difficulties and uncertainties of life can cause us to be so fearful of failure or falling that we can hardly see the way ahead. This verse encourages us to lift our eyes to the majestic beauty of the mountains and to remember that the awesome Creator of heaven and the earth, the God Who never sleeps is our helper and protector. Our Father God is diligently watching over us. He will be there to hear our cry for help, to hold our hand and to direct our steps. Regardless of disappointments and discouragements on your right or left, look up and hold out your hand to The Lord God Almighty Who is already reaching out to you and will not let you stumble. Thank you, Lord.
