Scripture of the Week by JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of December 225, 2022
By JoBeth Kested

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)

This is one of the most memorable scriptures often quoted in sermons and on Christmas cards this time of year. The Prophet Isaiah made over 100 very specific prophecies about the promised Messiah; Jesus fulfilled these and altogether over 300 Old Testament Messianic prophecies! There are numerous books written by those that set out to disprove the validity of the birth, life and death of Jesus and instead they were challenged to bow their knees in faith. Whatever we may have gone through this year in joys or sorrows, celebrations or disappointments may we all embrace the reality of Jesus as our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God and Prince of Peace. Wise men still seek Him. Merry Christmas with Abundant Blessings! ????

Hanukkah Blessings

Embrace the Light of the world who stepped out into darkness. May the eyes of your understanding be opened in Yeshua (Jesus’) Name.

Yeshua (Jesu) and YHWH His Father are ElEchad (One). His sheep listen to His voice and will never be snatched from His or His Abba ‘s hands. If you are His, you are eternally safe.

Are you His sheep? If not, there is still time to repent for your sins and ask Yeshua into your heart. Crown Him Adonai (Lord) of your life. Enter into the Victorious life that Yeshua (Jesus) lived, died and rose again for you to have. This Hanukkah, welcome the Light of the World into your heart.

John 10:22-39 CJB

22 Then came Hanukkah in Yerushalayim. It was winter, 23 and Yeshua was walking around inside the Temple area, in Shlomo’s Colonnade. 24 So the Judeans surrounded him and said to him, “How much longer are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us publicly!” 25 Yeshua answered them, “I have already told you, and you don’t trust me. The works I do in my Father’s name testify on my behalf, 26 but the reason you don’t trust is that you are not included among my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice, I recognize them, they follow me, 28 and I give them eternal life. They will absolutely never be destroyed, and no one will snatch them from my hands. 29 My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all; and no one can snatch them from the Father’s hands. 30 I and the Father are one.”

Scripture of the Week by JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of December 18, 2022
By JoBeth Kested

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 1 John 4:9-10 (NLT)

Haven’t we all been captivated by stories of courage and bravery when we hear about someone giving their life to save a child, a friend or even a stranger? No matter how hard we try, we are never able to work hard enough, to be good enough or to love God enough to deserve the sacrifice Jesus made for us. This time of year we remember that God sent Jesus, His only son, into the world as an extravagant demonstration of His great love for us. He came as the baby in a manger, destined for the cross, to die in our place and to save us from our sins. He not only forgives us of our sins, but also gives us His comfort, peace, love and joys in this life as well as the hope for all eternity with Him. In this Christmas season of shopping, parties and family gatherings for sharing gifts, let us not forget the reason for the season and the greatest gift of God’s love for us in Jesus; born to be our savior. Glory to God in the highest!

Hanukkah Blessings

The oil stayed, remained, didn’t go out for eight days. One tiny bit was enough for a miracle. Ponder this in your heart.

Anointed oil and the miraculous are one, they are echad, just as the Holy Trinity is One, Father, Son and Holy Spirit are ElEchad ONE GOD, YHWH, Yeshua and Ruach HaKodesh.

We celebrate Dedication during Hanukkah. We Celebrate the Light of the world coming into our world, our dark world, dispelling all darkness.

Many will ask us why then is there so much darkness. So much wrong with the world today.

Well my dear precious friends, on the first night of Hanukkah this year, Abba answered this for me. He lit me up with His Revelation.

Shalom (He- ElEchad – The One-Father, Son and Holy Spirit) are found when we embrace the Hebraic Roots of our faith and embrace Him and His Way.

As long as the church profanes and disregards the Hebraic roots of their faith, casts off the Jews, lives in antisemitism, there will be no Shalom. Something will be missing, something is broken. As long as believers speak out of their mouths from their heart.. this or that is Old Testament.. we live in the new.. there is the wall of division that Yeshua (Jesus) was born, lived died and rose again to break down that wall so that we could be born again and embrace Him as Shalom.

This Hanukkah, examine your heart. Ask Abba if there is any wall of division within you. Embrace the Hebraic Roots of your Faith. Ask Abba for the fullness of His Shalom in Revelations and Understanding. Are you embracing Him as ElEchad -One? Genesis to Revelation? Revelation to Eternity? HE IS THE ETERNAL. or are you dividing Him up into parts? Old and New? Jew and Believer in Jesus? He is One..shalom literally means whole – nothing missing, nothing broken. Ponder that in your heart.

Ask the Light of the World, Yeshua our Messiah – Jesus to light you up with His Shalom Revelation this Hanukkah.

Ephesians 2 13 But now, you who were once far off have been brought near through the shedding of the Messiah’s blood. 14 For he himself is our shalom — he has made us both one and has broken down the m’chitzah which divided us 15 by destroying in his own body the enmity occasioned by the Torah, with its commands set forth in the form of ordinances. He did this in order to create in union with himself from the two groups a single new humanity and thus make shalom, 16 and in order to reconcile to God both in a single body by being executed on a stake as a criminal and thus in himself killing that enmity.

17 Also, when he came, he announced as Good News shalom to you far off and shalom to those nearby,[a] 18 news that through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

Ephesians 2Complete Jewish Bible

2 You used to be dead because of your sins and acts of disobedience. You walked in the ways of the ‘olam hazeh and obeyed the Ruler of the Powers of the Air, who is still at work among the disobedient. Indeed, we all once lived this way — we followed the passions of our old nature and obeyed the wishes of our old nature and our own thoughts. In our natural condition we were headed for God’s wrath, just like everyone else.

But God is so rich in mercy and loves us with such intense love that, even when we were dead because of our acts of disobedience, he brought us to life along with the Messiah — it is by grace that you have been delivered. That is, God raised us up with the Messiah Yeshua and seated us with him in heaven, in order to exhibit in the ages to come how infinitely rich is his grace, how great is his kindness toward us who are united with the Messiah Yeshua. For you have been delivered by grace through trusting, and even this is not your accomplishment but God’s gift. You were not delivered by your own actions; therefore no one should boast. 10 For we are of God’s making, created in union with the Messiah Yeshua for a life of good actions already prepared by God for us to do.

11 Therefore, remember your former state: you Gentiles by birth — called the Uncircumcised by those who, merely because of an operation on their flesh, are called the Circumcised — 12 at that time had no Messiah. You were estranged from the national life of Isra’el. You were foreigners to the covenants embodying God’s promise. You were in this world without hope and without God.

13 But now, you who were once far off have been brought near through the shedding of the Messiah’s blood.

19 So then, you are no longer foreigners and strangers. On the contrary, you are fellow-citizens with God’s people and members of God’s family. 20 You have been built on the foundation of the emissaries and the prophets, with the cornerstone being Yeshua the Messiah himself. 21 In union with him the whole building is held together, and it is growing into a holy temple in union with the Lord. 22 Yes, in union with him, you yourselves are being built together into a spiritual dwelling-place for God!

Hanukkah Blessings

Yeshua spoke to them again: “I am the light of the world; whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light which gives life.”John: 8:12 CJB

Do you personally desire The Light which gives life?

Ultimately, this is the ultimate choice of our lives. Continue in sin which is death OR choose life.

Personally, I choose Life! Everyday! I want only to walk in the Light as Yeshua (Jesus) IS The Light.

So choose Light this Hanukkah. Choose Yeshua (Jesus). Ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you of all unrighteousness and be the Adonai (LORD) of your life. Be born again into the Light and Life that He paid such a high price for you to have the opportunity to choose.

The Light of the world came into the dark world so that we could be redeemed by the blood of the lamb, Yeshua (Jesus). Out if the hand of the enemy, the devil!

Hanukkah is The Feast of Dedication. Dedicate yourself to Yeshua (Jesus) today.

Hanukkah Blessings

Hanukkah Day 1:

Luke 1:26-38 CJB

26 In the sixth month, the angel Gavri’el was sent by God to a city in the Galil called Natzeret, 27 to a virgin engaged to a man named Yosef, of the house of David; the virgin’s name was Miryam. 28 Approaching her, the angel said, “Shalom, favored lady! Adonai is with you!” 29 She was deeply troubled by his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 The angel said to her, “Don’t be afraid, Miryam, for you have found favor with God. 31 Look! You will become pregnant, you will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Yeshua. 32 He will be great, he will be called Son of Ha‘ElyonAdonai, God, will give him the throne of his forefather David; 33 and he will rule the House of Ya‘akov forever — there will be no end to his Kingdom.” 34 “How can this be,” asked Miryam of the angel, “since I am a virgin?” 35 The angel answered her,

“The Ruach HaKodesh will come over you,
the power of Ha‘Elyon will cover you.
Therefore the holy child born to you
will be called the Son of God.

36 “You have a relative, Elisheva, who is an old woman; and everyone says she is barren. But she has conceived a son and is six months pregnant! 37 For with God, nothing is impossible.” 38 Miryam said, “I am the servant of Adonai; may it happen to me as you have said.” Then the angel left her.

Ruach HaKodesh overshadowed Miriam and conception took place. The Light of the World came into the world. Hanukkah-Day 1 Conception! Celebrate Yeshua (Jesus) today. Light the Servant candle and give YHWH all glory, praise and honor! Amen

Quiet! Be Still Commanded Yeshua (Jesus)

Mark 35-39 CJB That day, when evening had come, Yeshua said to them, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” So, leaving the crowd behind, they took him just as he was, in the boat; and there were other boats with him. A furious windstorm arose, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was close to being swamped. But he was in the stern on a cushion, asleep. They woke him and said to him, “Rabbi, doesn’t it matter to you that we’re about to be killed?” He awoke, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” The wind subsided, and there was a dead calm. He said to them, “Why are you afraid? Have you no trust even now?” But they were terrified and asked each other, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the waves obey him?”

Scripture of the Week by JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of December 11, 2022
By JoBeth Kested

“Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18-19 (NASB)

Have you ever watched high flying acrobats swinging back and forth in a circus? It is so breathtaking to watch them release one swing in order to fly toward the next swing and safety. It seems in these verses that God is telling us that we must let go of the former and past things we are clinging onto, so we can be free to reach for the new things He is preparing for us that we can’t even see yet! He is able to do sudden things like showing us the way when we feel lost and to even provide what we need in desperate places. Lord, help us let go of anything we are holding on to that keeps us from reaching for the new and blessed things you have prepared for us. Help us to find your roadway in our wilderness and Your river of life in the desert. Yes, Amen.

JOY

Romans 15:13 CJB 13 May God, the source of hope, fill you completely with joy and shalom as you continue trusting, so that by the power of the Ruach HaKodesh you may overflow with hope.

My prayer for you today is that you will overflow with His hope. That This Word will go deep within you and that you will come up higher and go down deeper into Him trusting in Him completely.

May He, our God, The Eternal Creator, Abba (Father), YHWH our Elohim, the source of hope,

fill you completely with Joy and Shalom

as you continue trusting,

so that by the power of the Ruach HaKodesh you may

overflow with hope.

He has a part and we have a part. He has the power. We must trust and continue trusting to receive His overflowing infilling of Joy and Shalom through the Ruach HaKodesh.

Trust Him. Be filled to overflowing today. In Yeshua (Jesus) Holy Name. Amen
