Scripture for the week of January 29, 2023
By JoBeth Kested

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light; 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)

Have you ever felt like a misfit, too different or unacceptable to others around you; amongst your friends, at work or in your family? Sometimes it can be so hard to handle those inner voices that say, “You don’t fit”, ” Not good enough”, or “Never going to make it”. What an encouragement to find in this scripture what God has to say about you. You are a chosen one! You are a part of the elite inner circle with access to God; a Holy nation! And, you are part of a distinctive people that have accepted God’s invitation to come out of the dark painful, depressing and hopeless places into the marvelous light of His love! So lift your heart, your hands and your voice to praise the Lord because you are a chosen, special one with the opportunity to display His goodness and glory to all those around you in this world! Thank You, Lord!

Scripture Of The Week By JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of January 22, 2017
By JoBeth Kested

When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. Proverbs 16:7,9 (NKJV)

Have you ever known someone, or maybe you are someone, who tries to plan for everything and feels like everything must have a plan? Oh, how frustrating when all our well laid plans fall apart! At some time or another we all need to be reminded of the truth of this scripture, that we can plan and set admirable goals all we want, but it is the Lord that directs our steps. I am sure each of us could tell stories of sorrows with hidden blessings, of hopes lost with joys found or disasters that have lead to surprising opportunities or miracles. It is well and good to make plans to our hearts content; yet still be pliable and yielding to the Lord, trusting in Him to direct our steps. After all, we also have this promise that when our steps please the Lord, He is even able to make our enemies be at peace with us. Yes, Lord!

Our Hearts Cry to YHWH

Today we Declare and decree Psalm 25 to YHWH in Yeshua (Jesus) Name from our hearts.

Lift up your heads oh ye gates, be lifted up you everlasting doors!

That’s you. You are gates and doors into YHWH’s Kingdom through The Door Yeshua (Jesus). For others to see His Light and walk on through.

Decree with me Today:

Psalm 25 (0) By David:

(1) I lift my inner being to you, Adonai;
2 I trust you, my God.
Don’t let me be disgraced,
don’t let my enemies gloat over me.
3 No one waiting for you will be disgraced;
disgrace awaits those who break faith for no reason.

Make me know your ways, Adonai,
teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth, and teach me;
for you are the God who saves me,
my hope is in you all day long.
Remember your compassion and grace, Adonai;
for these are ages old.
Don’t remember my youthful sins or transgressions;
but remember me according to your grace
for the sake of your goodness, Adonai.

Adonai is good, and he is fair;
this is why he teaches sinners the way [to live],
leads the humble to do what is right
and teaches the humble [to live] his way.
10 All Adonai’s paths are grace and truth
to those who keep his covenant and instructions.
11 For the sake of your name, Adonai,
forgive my wickedness, great though it is.

12 Who is the person who fears Adonai?
He will teach him the way to choose.
13 He will remain prosperous,
and his descendants will inherit the land.
14 Adonai relates intimately with those who fear him;
he makes them know his covenant.

15 My eyes are always directed toward Adonai,
for he will free my feet from the net.
16 Turn to me, and show me your favor;
for I am alone and oppressed.
17 The troubles of my heart are growing and growing;
bring me out of my distress.
18 See my affliction and suffering,
and take all my sins away.

19 Consider my enemies, how many there are
and how cruelly they hate me.
20 Protect me and rescue me;
don’t let me be disgraced,
for I take refuge in you.
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,
because my hope is in you.

22 God! Redeem Isra’el
from all their troubles!

True Freedom by Beth Auman

Please be very careful of what you call legalism. YHWH’s definition of legalism and freedom are so completely different than the worlds.

In Galatians 5 we are warned not to allow our freedom to become an excuse for allowing our old nature to have its way. We are to be the New Creation that was created by YHWH when we were born again.

That New Creation is to love and serve our neighbors. We are to run our lives by the Ruach HaKoddsh (Holy Spirit).

We submit ourselves and choose to allow Him (Ruach HaKodesh -Holy Spirit) to run our lives in every situation. We are never forced. That is true freedom.

Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) always wants what is contrary to our fleshly old nature.

The Torah is a part of our New. It is viewed in a very wrong way to most because they allow their old nature to rule over them. We must all be watchful that we Honor all if YHWH’s Words, Genesis through Revelation. Never perverting His Torah into legalism.

Examine your own heart today in the context of true Freedom. Ask YHWH to reveal any legalistic areas that you are allowing your old nature to contaminate your New. Ask Him specifically if you have perverted His Torah, by dismissing it or calling it old.

YHWH, we come before You in reverence for Your definition of freedom. We repent for ever allowing our old nature to be made manifest in any Life situation. Please forgive us in Yeshua (Jesus) Name

May we allow this to transform the manner in which we perceive the freedom that Yeshua (Jesus) paid such a high price for. As we examine and submit ourselves fully, May we freshly receive Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) and renew our freedom covenant with YHWH. Entering into His Love for us and pouring His Love into our Neighbors. Understanding that until we have done this, we are not truly free.

As for me, I choose to submit myself fully and freshly receive to overflowing measure Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit). Walking in the One New Humanity that You designed for me to walk in.

Amen and Amen

Galatians 5:13-18 CJB For, brothers, you were called to be free. Only do not let that freedom become an excuse for allowing your old nature to have its way. Instead, serve one another in love. For the whole of the Torah is summed up in this one sentence: “Love your neighbor as yourself”; but if you go on snapping at each other and tearing each other to pieces, watch out, or you will be destroyed by each other! What I am saying is this: run your lives by the Spirit.

Then you will not do what your old nature wants. For the old nature wants what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit wants what is contrary to the old nature. These oppose each other, so that you find yourselves unable to carry out your good intentions.

But if you are led by the Spirit, then you are not in subjection to the system that results from perverting the Torah into legalism.

Scripture Of The Week By JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of January 15, 2023
By JoBeth Kested

“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”’ Numbers 6:24-26 (NKJV)

Have you ever felt your face light up when you come face to face with someone you love? What blessing and joy to to be loved like that and how awesome to know that when God sees us His face lights up! These verses were God’s instructions to Aaron, the first high priest, and his sons to pray over the people with the promise that He would then bless them (vs 27). As believers, we are a royal priesthood (1Peter2:9) and we too can pray these words over our homes and loved ones. Our loving God longs to bless us with grace and His protection. His also lifts us up in His unmerited favor and He gives us peace. No matter what the future holds or what difficulties we may face tomorrow, fix your eyes on the Lord, knowing that you light up His face and He desires to extend blessings, grace, favor and peace upon you today.

Viewpoint

How do you see your fellow man? From your perspective or from YHWH’s?

Read2 Corinthians 5:16-21 and allow Adonai to open the eyes of your understanding to see your fellowmen through His perspective.

See the new creation. The question is really, who are you united with? Messiah or the world? One or the other is your viewpoint.

Therefore, if anyone is united with the Messiah, he is a new creation — the old has passed; look, what has come is fresh and new!

And it is all from God, who through the Messiah has reconciled us to himself and has given us the work of that reconciliation, which is that God in the Messiah was reconciling mankind to himself, not counting their sins against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.

Therefore we are ambassadors of the Messiah; in effect, God is making his appeal through us. What we do is appeal on behalf of the Messiah, “Be reconciled to God! God made this sinless man be a sin offering on our behalf, so that in union with him we might fully share in God’s righteousness.”

2Cor 5:16-21 So from now on, we do not look at anyone from a worldly viewpoint. Even if we once regarded the Messiah from a worldly viewpoint, we do so no longer.

Abba forgive us for ever looking upon our fellowman with a worldly viewpoint. We repent and ask for forgiveness.

We declare from now on to look upon our fellowman from Your perspective in Yeshua (Jesus) Name Amen

Psalm 19 CJB

19 (0) For the leader. A psalm of David:

2 (1) The heavens declare the glory of God,
the dome of the sky speaks the work of his hands.
3 (2) Every day it utters speech,
every night it reveals knowledge.
4 (3) Without speech, without a word,
without their voices being heard,
5 (4) their line goes out through all the earth
and their words to the end of the world.

In them he places a tent for the sun,
(5) which comes out like a bridegroom from the bridal chamber,
with delight like an athlete to run his race.
(6) It rises at one side of the sky,
circles around to the other side,
and nothing escapes its heat.

8 (7) The Torah of Adonai is perfect,
restoring the inner person.
The instruction of Adonai is sure,
making wise the thoughtless.
9 (8) The precepts of Adonai are right,
rejoicing the heart.
The mitzvah of Adonai is pure,
enlightening the eyes.
10 (9) The fear of Adonai is clean,
enduring forever.
The rulings of Adonai are true,
they are righteous altogether,
11 (10) more desirable than gold,
than much fine gold,
also sweeter than honey
or drippings from the honeycomb.
12 (11) Through them your servant is warned; in obeying them there is great reward.

13 (12) Who can discern unintentional sins?
Cleanse me from hidden faults.
14 (13) Also keep your servant from presumptuous sins, so that they won’t control me. Then I will be blameless
and free of great offense.

15 (14) May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be acceptable in your presence, Adonai, my Rock and Redeemer.

Scripture of the Week by JoBeth Kested

Scripture for the week of January 8, 2023
By JoBeth Kested

But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord. Jeremiah 9:24 (NKJV)

Have you launched into another new year seriously determined to accomplish some resolutions with the hope of patting yourself on the back at the end of this year? We often begin a new year evaluating our disappointments in ourselves; of weight gained or unfulfilled expectations of the previous year. With good intentions we try setting new resolutions with goals to do better, to be better and to feel better about ourselves and our accomplishments in the days ahead. This scriptures proposes a better option to focus our energy and efforts on the things that glorify God more than what might bring glory or praise to ourselves. By increasing our understanding and knowledge of God, His Word and His ways we can hope to personally experience His lovingkindness, mercy and goodness and then to also extend it to those in the world around us. What a joyous anticipation to know the blessing of God’s delight in the pursuit of knowing and experiencing Him more in this next year!

Scripture for the week of January 1, 2023
By JoBeth Kested

Even when you are old, I (God) will be the same. Even when your hair has turned gray, I will take care of you. I made you and will take care of you. I will carry you and save you. Isaiah 46:4 (NCV)

As we face a new year and anticipate things unknown, do you ever have fear and worry about what the future may hold? The older we get the greater temptation it is to focus on the uncertainties and possibilities for unexpected difficulties and disasters that may come. What encouraging promises from The Lord in this scripture where God declares two times that He will take of us; that He will even carry us and be there to save us! No matter what we may face, changing circumstances, financial limitations, deteriorating health or the fear of old age, our Father God, Who is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, will care for us. As surely as He gave us life, He is more than able to provide, carry and save us no matter what we may face in the future ahead. We can confidently place our hope in our God. Thank You, Lord!
