Finding The Right New Normal After Seasons Change By Beth Auman

fp121006-12We all enjoy normal, as human beings we crave returning to a steady consistency, especially after prevailing through one of life’s storms. Many times those are great days of revelation. A calm after the storms of life to look again and actually allow God to open the eyes of our understanding so that we may see His well lit path for that portion of our journey from beginning to end.

It is a time I truly believe when He shows us His strategies for the purpose of enabling us to reach back into that particular fire to grab the hand of someone who is also coming along that particular path to pray with them declaring breakthrough into their lives. In prayer, the Lord of the Breakthrough is breaking them through.

Many people miss this important place and settle for a wrong new normal; lulled to sleep by the facade of comfort and false safety. I am realizing that on the journey with the Lord that the Right New Normal is not yielding to a comfort of complacency. Yes, He does give us those beautiful, blissful, bountiful, times of rest where we worship, rejoice and find comfort in Him. However we are never to pitch our tent in the campground retreat of isolated bliss to lay back and make that place our new normal. God calls us beyond our ordinary self seeking ways to journey with Him, to step forward and reach out to others with encouragement and a helping hand as He leads. We should never leave the next ones to come through on the road that we have been on to continue alone. We are never alone as Jesus Christ has promised that He would always be with us; and we as His body on earth are His hands and feet with the help of the Holy Spirit.

(Jesus speaking) I will ask the Father to send you another Helper, the Spirit of truth, who will remain constantly with you. The world does not recognize the Spirit of truth, because it does not know the Spirit and is unable to receive Him. But you do know the Spirit because He lives with you, and He will dwell in you. I will never abandon you like orphans; I will return to be with you. In a little while, the world will not see Me; but I will not vanish completely from your sight. Because I live, you will also live. John 14:16-19 The Voice (VOICE)

We are to take the Victory Anointing we have in Jesus to stand in the gap for them; to intercede and teach those that God places on our path to be the overcomers that He created them to be. When we receive the victory and the dust settles around us, we are to worship and praise the Lord and ask Him how to proceed and who is next. This is the Right New Normal we are to press toward.

Sadly, I see the all too frequent wrong normal in the Church of Jesus Christ right now is primarily bandaging wounds and commiserating with the injured in a mostly defeated “hold the fort” attitude. We are warriors in the Army of the Lord and we are to take our place and assist those wounded on the battlefield to stand up and get back on the path to the Victory that Jesus Christ has won for us. We Win! In Jesus, We Always Win!

Psalm 23:4 states, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Understand this today and don’t ever forget it, anything that tries to hold you captive and keep you from taking the next step of your journey with the Lord is the shadow of death; including a wrong normal. We are to walk though the valley of the shadow of death, and fear no evil for His rod and staff they comfort us.

We are to fear no evil. We are not supposed to stop, pitch a tent and then falling into a lethargy-like sleep of accepting a wrong new normal. We are to keep on moving forward, onward and upward into broader, higher and deeper relationship with God in authority and effectiveness for His Kingdom purposes. Journey on, don’t camp out yielding to the false comfort of a wrong new normal. Look again at your circumstance and allow the Lord to give you the fullness of the revelation of what you have come through. Ask God to show you His strategy and ask Him who is next, who is on your path to help you and who is on your path that needs your help. It’s time to mature into the Right New Normal that is active and filled with God’s Glory. Don’t stagnate and realize that the rest of the Lord is the ability to continue moving to His cadence with His power, strength and wisdom for greater victories and accomplishments in extending the Kingdom of God.

I pray and decree over you that you will know how to move forward this season in God’s wisdom and revelation. That you will look again and see and know those on your path to assist you in the next step of your journey and those whom you are to assist. That you will walk through the valley of the shadow of death and fear no evil. That you will see the comfort of God’s rod and staff and that you will sit and enjoy the table that the Lord has set before you in the presence of your enemies. That your head is anointed with oil. That your cup runs over. That His goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life. And that you will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalm 23 (VOICE) A song of David.

The Eternal is my shepherd, He cares for me always. He provides me rest in rich, green fields beside streams of refreshing water. He soothes my fears; He makes me whole again, steering me off worn, hard paths to roads where truth and righteousness echo His name. Even in the unending shadows of deaths darkness, I am not overcome by fear. Because You are with me in those dark moments, near with Your protection and guidance, I am comforted. You spread out a table before me, provisions in the midst of attack from my enemies; You care for all my needs, anointing my head with soothing, fragrant oil, filling my cup again and again with Your grace. Certainly Your faithful protection and loving provision will pursue me where I go, always, everywhere. I will always be with the Eternal, in Your house forever.

By the blood of the Lamb and the word of their witnesses,

They have become victorious over him,

For they did not hold on to their lives, even under threat of death.

Revelation 12:11 (VOICE)
