Scripture for the week of July 6, 2025
By JoBeth KestedTrust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Psalm 37:3-6 (NIV)
Have betrayal and injustice robbed you of the provision, peace and future you had anticipated and hoped for? When all our hard work and good intentions have failed, this scripture encourages us to trust in the Lord, to do good, to delight in the Lord and to commit our way to Him followed by six amazing promises. 1) He will protect us and provides the place for us to dwell in safety. 3) He makes provision for what we need. 4) When nothing makes sense, if we commit our path to the Lord, He will show us the way to go. 5) He is able to fulfill the desires of our hearts. 6) On top of all that, God promises justice and vindication with the reward of setting everything right on our behalf like the bright and sunny dawning of a new day! Thank You, Lord!

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusts in Him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing. Psalm 34:8,10 (NKJV)
Have you ever longed for the taste of something like the first sip of coffee in the morning, your favorite piece of pie or maybe the best decadent chocolate as it melts in your mouth? There is nothing quite like that first taste that is so satisfying. We often cherish and savor that moment that is often accompanied by the feelings of comfort and happiness. This verse seems to encourage us that we don’t have to struggle and fret because we can’t understand the whole Bible or grasp all the ways of God. If we will just begin to taste a little at a time of His love, goodness, mercy and grace we will want keep to seeking Him more and more of as we experience the blessings of His comfort, peace and joy in every aspect of our lives. O taste and see that the Lord is good!

“Hear me, LORD, and have mercy on me. Help me, O LORD.” You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever! Psalms 30:10-12 NLT
Do you carry memories of nights endured with pillow soaking tears of grief? Maybe you have learned how to move forward, going through the motions of life, with the pain of sorrows like heavy weights on your soul? Hear the cry of this Psalmist in these verses with a renewed hope to call upon the Lord for His help and mercy in the darkness of your sorrows. Remember the promises in Isaiah 61 that He brings good news to the poor, comfort to the broken hearted and release to those held in captivity. Our God has both the power and love for us to turn our mourning into dancing for joy! Even when we don’t have the strength in ourselves, He is able to replace our old grave clothes of grief with the garments of joy and loud songs of praise! O Lord our God, we will lift our voices with shouts of joy and songs of thanksgiving for Your mercy and goodness to us forever and ever! Amen!

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV)
Have you ever felt exhausted from carrying the heavy weight of discouragements, problems and fears with a longing to rest your weary soul? Sometimes there just doesn’t seem to be any relief or help to be found. In this scripture Jesus invites us to accept His yoke that initially may look too hard. To be yoked with Jesus requires us to submit to His plans and direction for us. Yet, His promise is that His way is easier as we allow Him to pull the heavy load, to carry the weight and make our paths straight. Cast your cares on Jesus today (1 Peter 5:7) and God will supply all your need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to the Lord with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill. I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustained me. Psalm 3:3-5 (NKJV)
Have you ever felt like you need a protector and defender or someone to help hold your head up when troubles just seem too much? And have you ever cried out for help when no one was there and you couldn’t even sleep to escape the hopelessness? The Lord makes several wonderful promises to us in these verses; declaring His compassionate care for us when we are distraught, frail and feel abandoned. 1) He is our shield, protector and defender. 2) He is our glory; bestowing His goodness, praise and honor upon us. 3) He lifts up our head and restores our hope. 4) He hears our prayers and cries for help! 5) He grants us sleep and rest in our weariness. 6) He sustains us and provides all our needs. Rest in the assurance today and everyday that He will hear your voice and answer you from His holy hill because of His great love for you. Selah!

The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust Him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. Psalm 27:8 (NLT)
What can we do when we run out of strength in the battles we face and there seems to be no where to turn for help? It is wonderful to be reminded that the almighty endless strength of God is available when our strength is not enough. It is a great encouragement to know that He is our shield of protection and provider when we feel empty and vulnerable. There is an amazing and euphoric joy of heart in knowing the very real and personal help of our loving Father God and experiencing His strength extended to us in our weakness! (2 Cor. 12:9) The more we learn to trust the Lord with all of our heart in the everyday little things, the more we will be confident in His help in the big problems and overwhelming issues we face. Why not lay aside your doubts and fears and trust Him with all your heart today? You just might find yourself singing a new song of joy!

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Many are the woes of the wicked but the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the one who trusts in him. Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart! Psalm 32:8,10-11 (NIV)
Have you ever experienced a time when just by catching a look from someone you would know, without a doubt, exactly what you needed to do or to STOP doing? Most of us can easily remember “the look” from a parent or a teacher that clearly spoke louder than words! The key to being directed by “the look” implies you had to turn your eyes in that direction. This scripture informs us that the Lord has His eyes upon us. When we turn our eyes away from the cares, confusion and distractions of our days to focus our attention and trust upon our Father God, He is ready and so willing to teach us, guide us, council us and surround us with His unfailing love. Then, with uplifted hearts we can sing, rejoice and be glad in the Lord our loving God! Thank You, Lord.

And the angel answered and said unto her , “…For with God nothing will be impossible.” Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. Luke 1:35a,37-38 (NKJV)
Are you facing impossibilities beyond your understanding and in need of miracles? What are we to do when our dreams are dashed and all hope is gone? We must turn our attention to heed this hope filled declaration by the Angel Gabriel when he stated that nothing is impossible with God! Before this verse in Luke, Gabriel told Mary—an unwed young woman, that she was to give birth to the son of God and she responded, “How can this be?” Are you are looking at your overwhelming circumstances or evaluating hopeless impossibilities with devastating dead ends ahead and asking yourself “Now what do I do?” or “Is there any hope?” Remember that nothing is impossible with our God Who is able to move mountains, part the seas, raise the dead and open prison doors for His servants that fully put their trust in Him. Yes and amen, Lord!
Mothers Day Blessings To You Today
Honor-Defined in Hebrew: Kavod is the Hebrew word for honor and respect.
Biblically kavod indicates worth and value, and results in praise. Glory in Hebrew should be seen as abounding in honor and reverence that results in praise.
Honor, Respect and Reverence are required of us before YHWH our Elohim in regard to our Mothers. We must all rise up and Bless each Mother that Abba has placed in our path, physical as well as spiritual.
Proverbs 31:10-31 NKJV
Proverbs 31:28 … 28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all.”
The Virtuous Wife
10 Who[a] can find a [b]virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.
12 She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.
13 She seeks wool and flax,
And willingly works with her hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
She brings her food from afar.
15 She also rises while it is yet night,
And provides food for her household,
And a portion for her maidservants.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
From [c]her profits she plants a vineyard.
17 She girds herself with strength,
And strengthens her arms.
18 She perceives that her merchandise isgood,
And her lamp does not go out by night.
19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
And her hand holds the spindle.
20 She extends her hand to the poor,
Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of snow for her household,
For all her household is clothed with scarlet.
22 She makes tapestry for herself;
Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies sashes for the merchants.
25 Strength and honor are her clothing;
She shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many daughters have done well,
But you excel them all.”
30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates.
We cry out to Abba on behalf of all Mothers according to Proverbs 31:31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates. In Yeshua’s Name Amen
Rising up to call our Mother Blessed is important to Adonai. So important that He placed honoring our Mother in the 10 Commandments.

Know today that in honoring all of those who have participated in a Mothering role in your life that your days will be prolonged in the land which the Lord is giving you. Rsing up and declaring each one Blessed.
This excites me personally because I want to live and declare His Word and I want the land that He has for me and to do all that He crested me to do.
I pray that each of us will find great and creative ways to honor all of the Mothers in our lives. That our honor of them will be precious, loving, kind and even extravagant in Jesus Name. Amen

Scripture Of The Week By JoBeth Kested
Scripture for the week of April 26, 2025
By JoBeth KestedAnd having chosen them, He called them to come to Him. And having called them, He gave them right standing with Himself. And having given them right standing, He gave them His glory. What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Romans 8:30-31 (NLT)
In your childhood memories were you ever the unwanted and last one chosen when teams were picked to play some athletic game? Were you uninvited and left out of some big event or overlooked for a that promotion you worked so hard for? What a comfort to read in these verses that God has chosen you and called you to come to Him. He also frees us from all wrongs, sorrows and sins to be able to stand close to Him in His righteousness. And, having given us His right standing, our God goes on to declare that He extends to us His glory; the joy of knowing His favor, goodness and presence with us in the blessings as well as all the hard times. Lord, Jesus, touch each of the wounded places and sorrows of our lives with the power of your unconditional love to know that we have been chosen and called to stand in your righteousness and glorious grace. Our God is for us! Selah, amen.
