Covenant Reflections Noah’s Sacrifice

Covenant of Life

A reflection on the covenant of YHWH and the peace found in Yeshua

Scripture Reading

Habakkuk 2:14

“For the earth will be filled with the knowing of the glory of Adonai, as the waters cover the sea.”

Devotional Reflection

From the beginning, God established His covenant as a sign, a wonder, and a miracle—a promise to every living creature for all generations to come. When He placed His bow in the clouds after the flood, it was not only a covenant with mankind but also with the land and every living thing upon it.

“Then God said to Noah, ‘This is the sign of the covenant that I have confirmed between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.’” — Genesis 9:17

The prophet Habakkuk reminds us that the earth will one day be filled with the knowledge of Adonai’s glory—completely saturated, as the waters cover the sea. That glory is not man-made. It is God’s own presence, freely given to those who walk in covenant with Him. Through the indwelling of Ruach HaKodesh, we become glory carriers—living reflections of His covenant promise in this world.

Many overlook that God’s covenant extends to all life, even the earth itself. We are called to be life speakers, covenant keepers, glory carriers, and light bearers—those who nurture life and multiply His goodness throughout creation.

God’s covenant with Noah included a divine assurance for the rhythms of life:

“While all the days of the land remain, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will not cease.” — Genesis 8:22 (TLV)

What a promise! As long as the earth endures, these cycles will continue by His decree. Every sunrise, every changing season, and every harvest testifies to His faithfulness.

Therefore, be a life speaker, filled with the glory of God! Be thankful and give Him all praise, honor, and glory. Through the blood sacrifice of His Son, Yeshua (Jesus), we are restored to covenant relationship and filled with His eternal life.

Yeshua is our everlasting covenant. He commanded us:

“Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with tzara’at, drive out demons. Freely you received, freely give.” — Matthew 10:8 (TLV)

We cannot create the rainbow in the clouds, cause seeds to grow, or heal the sick by our own strength—but through the Name of Yeshua and the power of His blood covenant, we can do all things through Him who strengthens us.

When Noah stepped off the ark, he offered a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and God responded by setting His covenant sign in the sky. Likewise, we must respond to the sacrifice of Yeshua—offering our lives as living sacrifices of praise. When we do, His glory will once again cover the earth, fulfilling the words of Habakkuk.

So, change your focus today. Turn your heart toward His covenant. Offer your sacrifice of praise, and let His glory shine through you.
