Scripture for the week of July 5, 2020

The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. Songs of joy and victory are sung in the camp of the godly. The strong right arm of the Lord has done glorious things! Psalm 118:14-15 (NLT)

Are you one of those people that can’t carry a tune and prefer to sing in the shower where no one else can hear? Sometimes we just need to make a joyful noise to the Lord anyway because He is worthy to be praised! This Psalm was most likely written by King David, who was known as a mighty warrior of Israel accomplishing many great exploits in the name of the the Lord. He humbly declares in these verses that it is the Lord’s strength that has given him the victory and therefore the reason to worship and sing His praise. He proclaims that the godly sing songs of joy and victory when they gather together to celebrate because the strength of the Lord helps us accomplish glorious things. May we also sing the songs of rejoicing and triumph because of the many mighty things the Lord has done and continues to do in our lives as we daily trust in Him. Praise the Lord, God Almighty, Who is Worth to be praised!

The sea is His, for it was He who made it, and His hands formed the dry land. Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. Psalm 95:3-6 (NASB)

Have you ever had your breath taken away in the beauty of an ocean sunset, stood in awe of snow capped mountains or captivated by the delicate display of wild flowers in a meadow? Elohim, the Creator God, the most masterful of all artists, reveals Himself to us in the minuscule and extravagant details of His creation. God displays His majesty in the loftiness of mountains high and ocean depths. He calls us to fear and wonder at His sovereignty in the power of storms and miraculous expressions of mercy in our lives. He draws us near to His heart in the loveliness of butterfly wings, the fragrance of a rose and the wonder at the birth of a baby. Then, wonder of all wonders we are invited to call Him Father because He loves us! Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. Amen!

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV)

Have you ever been blindfolded and not able to see where you are going; or found yourself without a light trying to find something in the dark? It is challenging to acknowledge that the things we see are only temporary when it is our tendency to trust in what we see as absolute reality and truth. In this scripture we are exhorted to focus all our hope on eternity in God’s presence that we cannot currently see. Many would say that they can not believe in a God they can’t see, yet they do not hesitate to travel in airplanes that fly upon winds that eyes cannot see and turn on the power switches in their homes everyday using electricity that they do not see either. God reveals Himself in multitudes of ways that thrill us each and every day; twinkling stars, morning sunrise, ocean sunsets, blooming flowers, a beloved’s kiss, and a baby’s smile to name a few. The dream of “happily ever after” is in each of our hearts because “He has placed eternity in our hearts” (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Yes, Lord, we believe!

Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You. —the Great, the Mighty God, whose name is the Lord of hosts. Jeremiah 31:17,18b (NKJV)

Have you ever gazed upon the innumerable stars in the night sky in awe of the power and majesty of God? It is very easy to then feel so insignificant and to doubt that God would really care about us and our circumstances. Mighty God (El-Gibbor) in this verse means Warrior, a Champion and Hero. The God who made all of creation, Warrior Lord of all the Angel armies of Heaven, is also our Champion and Hero! Are you battle weary from circumstances beyond your control; or blind sighted by attacks you least expected? No matter what you are facing, be encouraged and trust that the great and powerful arm of Mighty God, your Champion and Hero, is outstretched to you and nothing is too hard for Him! There is nothing too hard for our God to protect and provide, to lead and guide us in all our circumstances. Yes, Amen!

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; Psalm 23:1-3a KJV

Have you ever longed for peace or comfort and rest for your soul? Our souls consist of our mind, will and emotions where we feel the afflictions of doubt, fear, sorrows and confusion that rob us of peace and paralyze our ability to hope. We are likened to helpless fearful sheep in these scriptures; and oh, what a comfort to be reminded that the Lord is our Good Shepherd caring for all our needs, lacking in nothing! We may not be quite as excited to realize that He will sometimes make us to lie down, even in green pastures, when most of us don’t like the idea of anyone making us do anything! Yet, we would all gladly welcome the quiet comfort and peace with renewing hope beside still waters if we could find it. Dear Lord, direct our steps to a still quiet place in Your presence; free from pressures, anxiety and disappointments to find the restoring rest for our souls that You have lovingly provided for us. Yes, Amen.

No Weapon Formed Against Us Shall Prosper In Jesus Name

We do not bow to fear.
We stand firm.
We watch and stand before YHWH in the Courts of Heaven, clothed in faith, truth, and the authority of His Word.

No virus, no plague, no scheme of darkness shall by any means harm us.
No lying spirit, no deception, no false narrative shall shake our Genesis faith in the Living God and His Written Word.

YHWH alone created the heavens and the earth—the sun, moon, stars, waters, vegetation, creatures, and mankind by His mighty hand.
We will not be moved.
We will not be deceived.
The devil is a liar and the father of lies.

Therefore we decree:
Devil, cease and desist in the Name above every name—Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach.
We discern your devices and expose your works of fear, confusion, and intimidation.
We enter the Courts of Heaven under the authority of the Blood of Jesus and declare:
“No weapon formed against us shall prosper.”
No virus.
No terror.
No assignment of darkness will prevail against the people of God.

Abba Father, You see every scheme of the enemy against Your people.
Arise in Your glory and let Your light shine through us like the brightness of the noonday sun.
Lord Jesus, lead us, guide us, guard us, protect us, and provide for us according to Your mercy and power.

We declare the Blood of Jesus over every believer, every home, every gate, every door, every waterway, and every territory You have entrusted to us.
We will not bow.
We will not bend.
We belong to the Most High God.

As believers in Jesus Christ, we refuse to be vessels of fear, gossip, panic, or unbelief.
We will guard our mouths and align our words with Heaven.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, therefore we choose life.
We will not fall to the whisper of the serpent saying, “Has God truly said?”
We know His Word.
We believe His Word.
We declare His Word in faith and authority.

We are watchmen upon the walls.
We are warriors at the gates.
And with one voice we declare:
“Not today, devil.”

We will stand united.
We will stand watchful.
We will stand unwavering in faith.

Jesus is LORD.

Scripture for the week of April 26, 2026

The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will renew you in his love; He will exult over you with loud singing. Zephaniah 3:17 (NRSV)

Have ever had or are you currently in the midst of one of those difficult times where everything seems to be just too much, too hard, or too impossible? Sometimes the hard stuff feels so overwhelming when we are also battling the wounds of abandonment, betrayal or loneliness without any hope for help. This scripture reminds us that our God is with us as a mighty warrior, our champion El-Gibbor, that fights for us to bring victory into our seemingly impossible situations. We must remember that our Heavenly Father delights in us and rejoices over us with gladness. He longs to renew our faith and strength in the assurance of the reality of His loving presence. So, be encouraged with renewed hope and faith in God’s extravagant love for you! Be assured that the awesome Lord God Almighty is fighting for you and singing rejoicing songs of gladness with shouts of joy to bring you into victory! Hallelujah! Yaaay God!

Living from the Tree of Life — The Bridge of Iyar


Scripture Focus:

Revelation 3:20 (CJB)
“Here, I’m standing at the door, knocking. If someone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he will eat with me.”

Devotional Reflection

The month of Iyar stands as a sacred bridge—a hinge between Nissan, where we remember the death, burial, and resurrection of Yeshua, and Sivan, where the Word was given and the Ruach HaKodesh was poured out.

It is in this in-between place that we are invited to live from the Tree of Life.

To live from the Tree of Life is to remain rooted in Yeshua—the Way, the Truth, and the Life—allowing His life to flow through us so that others may taste and see His goodness.

Iyar asks us a searching question:
What kind of bridge are we becoming?

Are we drawing others closer to Yeshua… or unknowingly pushing them further away?

A life rooted in the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil tends to measure, judge, and divide.
But a life rooted in the Tree of Life restores, invites, and reconciles.

We are called to be bridges that carry His presence.

Are we:

  • A smooth bridge, making the path easier for weary souls?
  • A steady hinge, firmly fixed to the Door—Yeshua—helping others enter into Life?
  • A musical bridge, bringing rest, beauty, and transition in the middle of someone’s storm?

Yeshua is the Door. He is the One who opens what no one can shut and shuts what no one can open (Revelation 3:7). And yet, in His mercy, He chooses to position us as living connections—hinges that remain fastened to Him, moving only as He moves.

When we abide in Him, our lives begin to harmonize with Heaven.

We no longer strive to create something impressive—we simply release what we are connected to.

The Great Commission is not fulfilled through pressure, but through presence.

As we live from the Tree of Life, we become invitations.

We become:

  • voices that echo His truth,
  • lives that reflect His love,
  • and pathways that lead others home.

Reflection Question

Am I living from the Tree of Life—drawing others closer to Yeshua through love, truth, and humility?
Or have I been operating from a place that creates distance rather than connection?

Closing Prayer

Abba Father,

Thank You for the invitation to live from the Tree of Life through Yeshua.
Root my heart deeply in Him, that everything I release would carry Your life and not my own striving.

Teach me to be a bridge that draws others closer, not pushes them away.
Make me a steady hinge, firmly fixed to the Door—moving only at Your leading.

Let my life become a song that brings rest in the storm and hope to the weary.
Align me with Your heart, Your truth, and Your Spirit.

May I walk in humility, love, and obedience as I fulfill the commission You have given.

In Yeshua’s Name,
Amen.

Declaration-Living as a Bridge of Life

I declare and decree that I will be a smooth bridge, making the path easier for weary souls.

I will be a steady hinge, firmly fixed to the Door—Yeshua—helping others enter into Life.

I will be a musical bridge, bringing rest, beauty, and holy transition in the midst of someone’s storm.

I submit myself to You, Abba Father, and I yield fully to Your Spirit.

Let my life be rooted in the Tree of Life, not striving in my own understanding, but flowing from Your presence.

Align my heart with Yours.
Establish my steps in truth.
Guard my words, that they would carry life and not division.

Make me an instrument of reconciliation, a vessel of honor, and a reflection of Your love.

Let everything I release draw others closer to Yeshua—the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

I choose humility.
I choose obedience.
I choose love.

I will walk as a bridge that connects, not separates.
I will stand as a hinge that moves only at Your leading.

And through my life, may others encounter Your goodness, Your truth, and Your eternal invitation.

Jesus… asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:13-17 (NIV)

Throughout the last 2000 years the question is still being asked, “Who is Jesus?” Many are still saying that he was a good man or spiritual teacher, while others say he was a prophet. In these verses Jesus commends Simon Peter for declaring the truth that He is the Messiah. Jesus acknowledges in this scripture, and many other verses, that He is the Son of God. He also declares in John 14:6 that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life; that no one comes to the Father accept through Him. We don’t get the option to believe that Jesus is just a good man, a teacher, or one of many prophets. We must face the fact that He is either a liar, a lunatic or the Lord as He says He is. Jesus is still asking each of us the question, “Who do you say that I am?” This Easter morning, do you know Him as the promised Messiah, the risen Lord resurrected from the grave? To all who believe, He is still showing The Way, The Truth, and The Life. He Is Risen, He Is Risen Indeed!

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV)

Have you ever experienced the abandonment of someone special, the betrayal of a friend, rejection of family, or a deep empty loneliness that won’t go away? Or, do paralyzing fears in your life or fear of death cripple your hopes for the future? This scripture is a comforting promise that no matter what valley of pain or fear we may have to walk through in this life, there is absolutely no power, nor anyplace, any person nor anything that can separate us from the love of Christ. Corrie ten Boom, a survivor of one of the worst Nazi concentration camps during WWII, once said, “There is no pit so deep, that God’s love is not deeper still.” If you struggle with past hurts, present anxiety, fear of death or fear of any future dilemma, ask Jesus to come fill your heart with His perfect love that casts out all fear. (1 John 4:18) Only Jesus can heal our hearts and fill us with His love that never fails and will never leave us. May you know the joy of God’s endless love for you today.
