Father God created Adam and Eve as adults; they were covered and clothed in the glory of Abba Father, therefore having no need for shoes. When they realized that they were naked, bare before creation because of sin, Father God slew an animal and covered them in the bloody raiment of the animal (which is a true prophetic picture of Jesus Christ).
He is seated at the right hand of Father God, the word seated in Hebrews means to hide by covering. Jesus is our covering and Father God was showing us a picture in Genesis of His plan, a picture that we can see clearly only by receiving what Jesus has done for us on the cross.
Genesis 3:14-22 (KJV) 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
3:20 And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
[Father God was speaking to the devil in v. 14 and He cursed the devil and told him that He would put enmity between the his seed (the devil’s seed and her seed)
[notice that this word is singular because it refers to Jesus Christ, the one seed who was of the blood type “G”].
This verse is stating that Jesus would bruise the head of the devil, and that the devil would bruise his heel.
( If the devil would have realized what bruising his heel truly meant (in Hebrew the word heel means by mistake, the utter end). If the devil would have truly been able to know what he was doing, he would have never crucified Jesus Christ.
{But Father God had a plan and we were and are all a part of it. And… We therefore get to choose our shoes.}
Notice in Gen 3:21 that God made coats of skins and clothed them. Because they were clothed with the glory of the Lord in the garden. After they entered into sin, they were subjected to all of the elements. Father God knew of course that Jesus was the lamb that was slain. He knew all about Jesus. He also knew that mankind would have to toil by the work of their hands on earth for a while and needed to be protected from the elements.
Father God covered them with an animal skin and He is the creator of all things including shoes.. We have the opportunity to choose our shoes.
Why is this so important?
Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
[Just for a note: Father God said, see, the man has become one of us, knowing good and evil and He did not want man (us to eat of the tree of life and live forever in sin).
He therefore hid the tree of life so that Jesus could come and so that we would have a choice. His plan was for us to have a choice to live through Jesus Christ. If Adam or Eve would have eaten from the tree of life at that moment, they would have died in sin with no redemption.
We have the right to choose our shoes because through Jesus Christ we don’t have to live in sin forever. We are forgiven and as we put on the full armour of God so that we can stand against the wiles of the devil, wrestling not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers and rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. We have to stand..
Ephesians 6:11-13 (KJV) 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
[and.. while standing, since Father God is the creator of all things, He has inspired shoe designers all over His world to design colorful shoes, boots, slippers, sandals, flats, flip-flops, combat boots etc. So that we can stand.
Our full armour is spiritual and we must put it on everyday.
Choosing our shoes is so important because our feet are shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;. Even our feet are covered through Jesus blood. Our hind parts are not covered in the armor of God (they really are because He has totally covered us) however we are never ever to turn our back to the devil, we are to use the blood of Jesus Christ and His Word to take him out of our situation. We do get to choose our shoes..
Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
We are to be strong in the Lord, and the power of His might. We are to put on the full armour of God.
We must remember to put this armour on daily.
Ephesians 6:10-20 (KJV) 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
We are all born into this world as infants, bare and in need of someone else to take care of us. Our parent’s dressed us and covered our feet with booties to protect our delicate skin. As we grew and began to toddle around, they covered our feet so that the harsh elements would not harm our feet. They placed us in comfortable sensible shoes, which in many cases now adorn our parent’s mantle or our memory box as a bronzed or silver trophy.
The majority of women at some point from the age of 1.5 and 2.5 years old came into the revelation of high healed shoes. Heels, and from that moment on we have been intrigued with them?? Why?
What shoes will you choose? Will you make the sensible choice?
Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Genesis 3:16-21 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
From the rising of the sun, to the setting of the same, the name of the Lord is to be praised. When we wake we are to go before Father God and we can approach Him bare footed because when we enter the holy of holies we are on holy ground.
Come before Father God each day and praise Him for the day that He has given to you. Praise Him for going before you and making crocked things straight. Praise Him for all that He is and all that He has created you to be for His glory and when you are almost finished praying, don’t forget to ask Him what type of shoes that you need to choose for this day.
He may say flats ![]() |
flip flops because it is going to be a lazy day…
He may say tennis shoes because your going to have to run and need to be comfortable… or
boots because it’s going to be cold and youneed extra protection…
He may tell you that loafers are required for a sensible day …
And Then again He may say daughter, today is a day for combat pull out the stiletto heels ,
have fun and remember daughter that heelsare high and sharp for one purpose and that is My purpose.
I wanted my daughters to be reminded that the devil is under your feet and have fun today
and with every click of your heels and remember that you are standing on that devils head
because of what Jesus has done for you.
Psalm 91:13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Poke him a time or two for me and I’ll always be right there with you smiling with glee. Love Your Abba Father!
Psalm 91:12-14 (KJV) 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
Come barefooted before Father God everyday, seek Him first and He will add all other things to you. Ask Him what the best attire for the day will be.
Remember that as you come before Him, you are on holy ground. He will instruct you and give you His wisdom for the day.
Praise Him for all things Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; – even heels and those whom He has selected to create, produce and sell them at wonderful prices, especially the 2 for 1, 75% off and 50% off that price. In Jesus Name Amen
